At the same time I imagine a lot of people buying Cannonball will be doing so because they like Little Mix and have been voting for them, rather than liking that song in particular, the same as every year. The general consensus seems to be that it's far from them at their strongest and if it's what they'd have been singing all along they'd never have won anyway.

Even as a fan of LM, I think that's a bit weird, no matter what the song is then I'd not buy if I don't like it. Buying it because you like an artist is arguably different because it's to support them, whereas the charity excuse is baffling because you can easily donate money without wasting it on a song you don't like.

Surely you're used to it by now - it happens almost every week of the year... :lol:

Damien Rice will have an even bigger slump - he's not even top 100 on iTunes any more and he got to #19 last week!

 

Little Mix are back up to 63.2% (they bottomed out at 47.3) and Coldplay are back at 50.3% (bottoming out at 38.0). Could Military Wives lose #1 by tomorrow even?

 

Alex Day was looking to overtake Coldplay with his top version but Coldplay are now pulling away again (LM and Coldplay are in dark green and Alex in light green - Military Wives have been dark red for the vast majority of the day).

 

Alex is on 106.4% with all 9 versions combined :D

Oh yeah. Second version is #106 as well - maybe he won't have THAT big a slump then but I can certainly see it dropping to the low 50s at least, maybe even lower.
