I'm telling you Kelly Clarkson will probably do an 'I Wanna Go' and miss the top 100 completely (even though both were amazing songs and videos). :(

Really wish International Love would go top 100. :( All of Pitbull's shitty records are huge (Give Me Everything, I Know You Want Me, Hotel Service) and his only decent one is flopping!

International Love is hardly flopping, it's had minimal airplay and it's doing good in the USA.

lol. I Know You Want Me and Hotel Room Service are not "shitty" at all! They deserved to be such massive hits imo.

Give Me Everything, on the other hand, is very generic indeed. "Excuse me. Imma need my Kodak. Dale" :drama:

 Oops! I disagree they deserved to be hits, though. Both really repetitive and cheap sounding, imo. IKYWM was far worse though because I heard it everywhere I went and couldn't believe people had paid money to listen to it. One of the worst chart hits of it's year (2010?).

 33. Lana Del Ray - Video Games [Anyone else think this is gonna do a "Do it Like a Dude" and reach top 5 in the new year?!]

 41. James Morrison - Up (feat. Jessie J)

 77. Alexandra Stan - Get Back (A.S.A.P.) :(

I remember I Know You Want Me was one of (if not, the) most-viewed music videos on Youtube. Obviously, that was back before VEVO and Justin Bieber, On the Floor, LTWYL, etc. I think it was because of all the hots girls in it.

It was 2009 though. I remember because it's in the 2009 mash-up that DJ Earworm does of the 25 biggest hits of the year.

Hotel Room Service was so epic too. HOTEL! MOTEL! HOLIDAY INN!! And they used to play the Nicole Scherzinger remix all the time on Capital.

He used to have such good beats back then. But now they're so generic imo. :( So, kind of "full". Like David Guetta music...

I would love 'Video Games' to climb back and get some longevity, it could've been so much bigger than it was. I will be surprised if Lana doesn't score another big hit with 'Born To Die' this time next month when it's released - she's definitely going to get massive next year.

I really loved old Pitbull too, yes I love Give Me Everything but Rain Over Me and International Love are soooo generic :drama:

True. Rain Over Me is VILE. Especially the choruses. :puke: It sounds exactly the same as Down For Whatever. So glad it flopped. Shows how awful it is that it flopped following such a massive smash like Give Me Everything.

I love how a song that's supposed to make you want to dance actually makes you fall asleep.

'Rain Over Me' is amazing! :o I'll give you that the verses are generic, but the chorus is amazing! But that's only because Pitbull doesn't sing it :kink: Pitbull is literally everything wrong with the music industry rolled into one person

-x-

I hope Video Games will get a new year boost, I think it should be in the top 40 still when Born To Die is released (which I can see being much bigger) which should hopefully keep it a float for even longer! It will hopefully have amazing longevity! Can't see it going back into the top 10 though. It's been to successful already, whereas Do It Like A Dude was still naturally progressing.

I don't think Pitbull cares about the sales of 'Rain Over Me', given it has almost 200 million views on youtube which gave his company about 1.5 million dollars.
StooShe! :D I really hope they will become huge in the new year.

Their last single in November was on the radio 1 upfront list so it must have been a buzz single - id say the March release will be alisted in March - maybe they will take up where the old sugababes used to be!! :D

I saw that actually! :o I was looking at the top 10 most-viewed music videos on Youtube of 2011, and was really shocked to see Rain Over Me on there, since it wasn't that big a hit really, unlike On the Floor and Give Me Everything which were massive European and US smashes (not that there's any point differentiating between the two in 2011, almost everything that smashed in one place also did in the other this year ). I guess it shows how awful the song is, that hundreds of millions of people can watch the video, but it sells like 10,000 copies worldwide. Ouch.

I agree with Pitbull being "everything wrong with the music industry" though (well, kind of). Firstly, he's an AWFUL rapper. I mean, yes, some of his beats from a few years ago were catchy, and he has some funny lines, but overall he's awful, talks about the same thing again and again (i.e. scantily clad girls and half his lyrics are in Spanish or Mexican or something :drama:). And he has some awful rhymes too. And him doing songs with Afrojack and David Guetta? He thinks he's European doesn't he?

'Rain Over Me' is EASILY one of my favourite tracks of the year. But I like anything generic so no surprise there.

It only flopped in the UK and the US. It got to #1 in 4 countries, #2 in 6, and Top 10 in another 6, including Canada and Australia. :P

The xmas effect is really weird on xmas week, its like people are so bombarded in the last few days before xmas day they immediately realise they HAVE to download the pogues again, a strange phenomena....wonder how it will effect the official xmas chart on sunday - if sales are close enough and the boast is great and sustained long enough(it should dye a bit by xmas eve late evening)the pogues could hit the top 10.would love to see Buble - Christmas in the top 40, it would round off the season for him to get a singles entry since his album is so massive!

Or maybe it's people who didn't download it in previous years... :P
