Are all the uptempo songs on the album like "What Makes You Beautiful" without a decent hook?

I meant the name of the singer who sing that song.

 

I don't know, but it happens quite often that they don't get credited. Although it's becoming less common, as these days people are crediting more and more people (see: Nayer and Lauren Bennett, they probably wouldn't have got credited if those songs were released 30 years ago).

This sounds so similar to What Makes You Beautiful imo (which is probably why they released it :lol:).

I love this so much still, however I am a little bitter that it got all the success when 'Shelter' was even better and failed to make the top 40.

 

I'm more than 'a little' bitter that Birdy's versions of all 3 of her chart hits have outperformed the originals <_<

This One Direction song is surprisingly tolerable on first listen :o Still not something I'd ever listen to out of choice but not as bad as their first 2 singles for sure.

I don't like their haircuts in the video but like the bus running across London thing. B-)

Birdy showing no sign of going away from the chart. Done quite well. This must have sold about 200k at least?

 

I think it had sold just over 270k by last week - not bad for a track that missed the top 15!

Jar of Crap seriously needs to f**k off

First time I've heard One Thing. Well, thankfully its on the What Makes You Beautiful side of things rather than that other... abomination. They can stick to upbeat numbers thanks.

 

Gotta Be You's definitely the worst ballad on the album. They have ones called More Than This and Taken, which are absolutely brilliant and my two favourites by them. I don't know WHAT possessed them to release GBY instead of one of them.

 

Four good songs in a row - Charlene Soraia, Birdy, 1D and now Christina Perri. :wub:

unbelevably bored of this song now. I loved it at first now but with all the airplay it's had I've become sick of it. I much prefer 'arms'. :wub:

Shame Christina will probably be a one hit wonder, her album is great and I saw her live on Sunday night and she was great. I honestly hope she still tries to push 'Arms' as it could be at least another top 20.

Jar Of Hearts still sounds good to me. Incredible longevity for it! (To think when I first saw it on US iTunes I thought it was just some random faceless country singer who'd never see the light of day here :P)
