Great to see this could become a hit. It's more or less a generic European Taio Cruz style dance song, so not many people on this forum would like it unfortunately

Didn't Video Games stall at #11 on iTunes too? I don't think Born To Die will be lucky enough to go top 10 come Sunday as well. Such a pity! I really thought it would be top 5 at least.

Listen to 'Welcome To St. Tropez' by DJ Antoine. Then listen to 'Turn This Club Around' by R.I.O. (which was released in Europe a few months later). First time I heard 'TTCA' I just sighed at how much the track ripped of 'WTST'. Neither track is brilliant but I prefer 'WTST' because it was original (generic yes, but original production). :P

Something like that but the 'Video Games EP' shot to #1 so those extra sales really helped the track get a top 10 entry. 'Born To Die EP' (last night anyways) was only #18 so I'd hope that the track can break into the top 10. The album is released next week so I hope with the added sales of the album version, that might allow 'Born To Die' to climb up the chart.

It's a pity because it seemed to be the one everyone thought was shoe-in for #1 this time last week. Hopefully it can scrape top 10, but either way her album is going to be enormous so it doesn't really matter.

Lana's messed up the release by not putting a b-side on. I'm not paying for a song when the album's out next week and there's only a few average remixes to back it with, no incentive to buy the ep this time around.

Lana's already started decreasing fast, the best she could hope for is debuting this week in the top 15. I am hoping Labrinth knocks Taio Cruz out of the top 10 as I could see Taio free falling quite fast.

Yep, R.I.O is a German dance project, DJ Antoine is a Swiss DJ.

 

I'm surprised that R.I.O makes any impact in the UK tbh. :o
