"Skyscraper" is released on 27th February, with the album a week later. :)

The album can already be found in some places, I bought it for £9.99 from HMV Sheffield today. :o It could be a US import but I thought that could be more expensive and I don't see why they'd bother as much since the actual release is less than two months away and I don't imagine demand is HUGE.

Christina Perri's A Thousand Years hanging around a lot better than I'd expected down there, I wish it had been far bigger!

LOVING the new #1, much prefer it to Domino! I knew it would go top five but I can't say I'd expected it to be a #1, it's not even top 20 on radio or TV airplay. The cheap sounding male rap middle 8 is so reminiscent of any throwaway 90s dance act hit, Mr President, T-Spoon and the like  It really is such a dated sounding song in parts, but that's half of the charm!

Why Demi has left 'Skyscraper' so late is beyond me. It could have actually been a top 5 or at least top 10 hit if it was released Summer 2011, however I can't see it doing anything really, its too well known over here already to be honest. Shame, as it could have been a real breakthrough for Demi, but I think shes mucked it up completely.

Actually I don't mind it "hides head in shame" , its far better than Lick Ya Down, but I was really expecting Lana to crack #1 this week instead of Cover Drive, but with Video Games still top 20, I just knew the public would still be connecting with it instead of Born To Lie. Oh well, hopefully Lana will get the #1 album the week after.

'Heaven' finally showing up in the iTunes top 100 again, it's been officially top 100 again for 3 weeks and I can't figure out why :drama:

Great to see it back - just wish 'Daddy' could generate some more sales, offering it as 'single of the week' really ruined its chances on selling well for a #21 peak. As for why 'Heaven' has re-entered, articles on her winning the Critics Choice, supporting Coldplay on tour, and talk of the upcoming album/'Next to Me' release are all bound to generate some more interest. Wish we could say the same for Maverick Sabre though, I fear his album won't do as well as I'd hoped - depends how 'No One' debuts upon release.

It is Born to Die Mikey. It is #1 on your chart after all!

A rather contradictory statement, you expected her to crack #1 but also expected the public to still be connecting with Video Games more? :o

Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Bruno Mars and David Guetta have all juggled simultaneous hits in the past year, amongst many others, so I don't think it's that. She seems far more like an 'albums artist' anyway, like Florence + The Machine for example. Her album is a certainty to debut at #1, that's not me being 'smug' as others might say, it's a sure thing and is absolutely GOING to happen, it looks as if it will only need to shift 15k to get there, even if it massively fails to live up to expectations I'm sure it will still manage to clear at least 30k

How bizzare to see Twilight get number 1. I'm with Rich & Jonjo with really liking the song but no.1 material... hmm. Would prefer Domino to have hold on as thats my anthem right now :D

Oh well a slight slip :snif:

Will be interestying to see if Cover Drive can keep number 1 all week... IIRC their other single dropped quite alot during the week.

It depends on how big their lead is. I don't think they can. I think it'll drop to 3 at least if not further by next weekend.

If they take a 20% lead I think it will go to number one. It's a shame that their not releasing their album next week, I think their going to do a roll deep.

Has Twilight been playlisted from Radio1? Capital Fm have supported Twilight so much. Capital Fm have even handed links numerous times for people to download Twilight.

12. Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars (Can see this dropping to #16 this week but climbing again next week)

20. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

23. Flo Rida & Sia - Wild Ones (This Is Picking Up now :cheer:)

31. One Direction - One Thing (Looking likely of missing the top 10 now)

32. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back

57. Jason Derulo - Breathing

72. Kelly Rowland - Lay It On Me

75. Nicki Minaj - Stupid Hoe

93. Katy Perry - Firework

97. Beyonce - Run The World (Why is this still in the top 100 on iTunes)

Oh well a slight slip :snif:

Considering the letters D and L are seperated by five other letters on a keyboard (F,G,H,J,K) I'd say that was more than a "slight" slip. :D

My favourite release of this week is Redlight and it's nice to see it heading for a solid top-30 or maybe even top-20! :D

'Born to Die' is so much better than 'Video Games'. Shame it's struggling so far. I thought the top-10 is absolutely safe for it but now it seems no.

As for #1... I don't get the hype for the song, it's absolutely generic, people call 'Troublemaker' non-event and generic but what is this then?

Twilight is nowhere near as generic as Troublemaker. Troublemaker is just so boring. I feel like falling asleep whenever it comes on the radio. Twilight is catchy as hell, and usually ends up with me dancing in some way. I love it.

This week, we could get new entires from Cover Drive, Lana Del Rey, Flo Rida, Redlight, Professor Green, Nadia Ali, Kings of Pop (if it doesn't get deleted) and Snoop Dogg/Wiz Khalifa (although it looks like maybe they've already peaked :().

Also, Mad World is #49 now! :o
