Gets better with each listen for sure, and I'm slowly starting to love more and more songs. 'Do My Thang' is the favourite right now...brilliant song! On the whole though, I do prefer 'Can't Be Tamed'. That had some absolutely epic songs on it.

I liked "Can't Be Tamed" a lot and still think the title song and "Liberty Walk" are quite fab but it wasn't really a great album. She wasn't willing to fully leave her Disney roots behind and there was some cheese present which made the "I'm an adult now!" songs more difficult to believe. Also she must've been pissed throughout recording because her vocals are WILD SLURS on some of the tracks. Vocally this album is such a huge improvement. The different ways she uses her voice according to what the song requires... it's skillful. After about six listens through this is my initial rate:

There's an article on facebook I just seen about Sinead O Connor sending Miley an open letter explaining some advice about the singers saucy antics and I think there's some valid points made tbh.

 

I'm on my phone though so can't post the actual article but it's very interesting.

'FU' is by far and away the second best on this album, TBH (sorry 'We Can't Stop'). Keep going back to it now :wub:

'Drive' is by far my favourite on the album (that isn't 'We Can't Stop' or 'Wrecking Ball'). SO GOOD. Needs to be a single at some point. 'SMS (Bangerz)' is such a grower. I liked it from first listen, but I'm fully on board now!

Well you know me. I've spent much of the past five years queening around to various Miley songs. :jump:

So addicted to this whole album. I can definitely see why Jark has compared it to 'Rated R' and it's the first brilliant pop album since that in my mind.

Right now it's ahead of it but that's probably because it's so fresh right now. Stilll, it'll definitely be giving it a run for its money. SO DAMN GOOD.

 

Drive, Adore You, Someone Else>> but honestly love it all. Got my Miley loon mode fully ON...something I never thought I'd say haha.

Really? One thing I picked up on when listening to some of these songs is how bad her diction is.

After a couple more listens this is my favourite album of 2013, I honestly hope she leaves ' Someone Else ' or ' Drive ' as the final single for the album! So many single options for Miley and I'm glad that it's getting fantastic reviews.

i'm just abit confused about this album... because when she first announced it she referred to it as "an album I did with Pharrell", so did she scrap a whole bunch of his songs in favour of mike will made it?

She worked first with Pharrell and later Mike WiLL. I'm sure there are Pharrell songs that didn't make it but I don't think there's any story there.

All my male friends certainly don't disagree :lol: Haven't heard one of them say anything than 'she's a $l*t', so because I love her music I have to stop myself going a bit Chris Crocker.

Not many to tell you the truth, pretty much all of my mates, me included, think she's pretty gross.

 

Music wise, Wrecking Ball has grown on me a lot over these past 2 days - the chorus is undeniable really.

I would definitely go there.

There's nothing attractive about her. If someone like Britney had made the Wrecking Ball video I'd have probably enjoyed it a lot more!
