Well, I hope so. :lol: It's just such a ridiculously catchy song and a bit like 'Something In The Water' I only cottoned onto this song when it was no. 1 in Holland.

 

Interestingly, my second choice has also been entered into this contest. Won't say which track it is but it's likely to receive some points from Batidas as we're in the same semi. :D

Mainly because of this, but I had a feeling too. I wasn't going to enter it, but funny to see everyone fighting over it. When XL finished, it was my frontrunner, but I changed my mind.

 

Bizarre that everybody should be fighting over it all of a sudden now, is it suddenly blowing up somewhere? I charted it at the beginning of October and was surprised that it didn't appear in either of the last two contests :o

 

It's an obvious top ten, probably higher but I was never passionate enough about it to send it myself.

It's been #1 in Holland? :o I didn't realise that it had made it out of Denmark! I was only brave enough to put it on my CD Swap compilation, I wanted to hear what somebody's reaction was to it but I chose to send Lykke Li to BJSC instead, which wasn't a bad move in the end!

I found it at the beginning of December when it was down in the 30s (after The Game, I check Canadian iTunes as a matter of course). Check back a month later, and it's shot up to #1 out of nowhere! <_>

Who is this Carly Rae Jespen? I don't know her and plan on breaking a few dishes should she obstruct Lena's planned hegemony (it's ONLY RIGHT she gets around to dominating BJSC after doing so with MF and ESC, ESPECIALLY with a track that's as much of a DISCOTITS CORKER as Live Tomorrow)

I was going to send 'Call Me Maybe' but I only discovered it when Ashley Benson posted a video of her miming along to it :lol:

My entries seem to be getting progressively indie :lol: but I definitely think I went with the best of the 3 songs I was considering! :D

I think it's too soon to start predicting winners but I think Ramrynia are going to have their most successful contest to date by choosing 'Call Me Maybe'.

 

I just watched that SF2 video recap and already there are a few tracks that have stood out massively. Will intend on watching those videos in full over the weekend.

The transition of verse to chorus is ridiculously clunky on Call Me Maybe. It's the only thing that stops it being an outright 10. It may grow on me by the final though.

I WAS going to change to this. Glad I didn't bother! Aha. :o I don't think it's a winner though. An easy top 10 though.

Let it grow. I thought the same as you originally, but because it had potential I downloaded it and it's brilliant now.

Unovia's track is quite familar melody wise to me... It's doing my head in as I don't know when or where did I hear it <_<
