February 5, 201214 yr Author Booo, FOB robbed five years ago. Looking forward to "Titanium" hopefully being at the top today :D I hated that FOB song at the time, in fact still do! I was sure they said arse face not arms race too.
February 5, 201214 yr Good afternoon! This time I list my most hated songs from the retro charts :heehee: 2011 02. (2) Bruno Mars - Grenade (65,670) :puke: (although the song itself is one of the best he's done) 2007 03. (2) Just Jack - Starz In Their Eyes (24,000) :puke: 09. (11) Akon - I Wanna Love You (10,200) :puke: :puke: (How could this be in the top 10...???) 2002 I hated nothing from 2002 :o 1997 The same from 1997 (or I just can't remember) :P
February 5, 201214 yr Hello everyone :D David Guetta bloody better be #1 today. I'm sure he will be as he closed the gap a lot between Wednesday and Friday. I also hope Born To Die has at least matched the peak of Video Games if not bettered it. Also Adele's 19 to be back in the top 20 :kink: And The 2 Bears to stay top 40 please  I was sure they said arse face not arms race too. ME TOO. (Also I didn't know what 'arms race' meant at the time so my reaction when I saw that was the real title was 'huh? What the hell does that mean? I think that's a mistake...') Edited February 5, 201214 yr by Bré
February 5, 201214 yr Alyssa Reid with Alone Again will enter the Chart Today as Jester above indicated, Just for a bit of retro I'd look back at the Famous song it samples and the chart it was in. This takes us Back to 1987, when Heart - Alone Reaches it's Top Position of #3, I have also looked at some other songs in the chart of that week. Week Ending 8th August 1987 1 Los Lobos - La Bamba The cover Version of the Richie Valance song, He was on the Fateful flight that killed him & Buddy Holly in 1959. 2 Madonna - Who's That Girl 3 Heart - Alone The Lead members in Heart were sisters Ann & Nancy Wilson from Calafornia. This was its peak position This website link tells of any other samples/covers of the song, Heart themselves covered the song, I-Ten did it 4 years earlier in 1983. http://www.whosampled.com/sample/view/7692...ne_Heart-Alone/ 4 Atlantic Starr - Always 5 Michael Jackson With Siedah Garrett - I Just Can't Stop Loving You This was the Highest New Entry, and went on to claim #1 itself. 6 Hue And Cry - Labour Of Love 7 New Order - True Faith Remember the costumes in the Video. 8 Spagna - Call Me The Biggest Climber in this week 1987, this went on to reach #2 but was her only Top 10 Hit. 9 Boogie Box High - Jive Talkin' 10 Beastie Boys - She's On It 11 Pet Shop Boys - It's A Sin 12 Freddie McGregor - Just Don't Want To Be Lonely 13 Bruce Willis - Under The Boardwalk 14 Mel And Kim - FLM 15 Bananarama - I Heard A Rumour 16 Def Leppard - Animal 17 Stock Aitken Waterman - Roadblock This was Sampled on the #1 song a month and a half later by MARRS, who had to edit the sample out due to leagal reasons. 18 Luther Vandross - I Really Didn't Mean It 19 Shakin' Stevens - A Little Boogie Woogie (In The Back Of My Mind) 20 Judy Boucher - You Caught My Eye 21 Terence Trent D'Arby - Wishing Well 22 Sinitta - Toy Boy 23 Linda Ronstadt And James Ingram - Somewhere Out There 24 Marillion - Sugar Mice 25 The Gap Band - Oops Upside Your Head 26 Errol Brown - Personal Touch 27 Black - Sweetest Smile 28 Motley Crue - Girls Girls Girls 29 Samantha Fox - I Surrender (To The Spirit Of The Night) 30 A-ha - The Living Daylights The Theme tune to the James Bond theme of the same name. 31 Wet Wet Wet - Sweet Little Mystery 32 Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up This was Rick Astley's Debut hit this went on to claim #1 and on to the best seller of 1987. 33 Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) 34 Boy George - Sold 35 The Firm - Star Trekkin' 36 Pseudo Echo - Funky Town 37 Echo & The Bunnymen - Lips Like Sugar 38 Kenny G - Songbird 39 Sherrick - Just Call 40 Cliff Richard - My Pretty One Edited February 5, 201214 yr by smiffj

February 5, 201214 yr Author Titanium better be #1 - if it is, that will make 2 truly great #1s already this year (with paradise). If Goyte somehow manages it as well in the coming weeks, then my faith in the download buying public may well be partly restored!
February 5, 201214 yr I loved 'How To Save A Life' in 2007 but 'Over My Head' was 10x better and deserved the success more. :(

February 5, 201214 yr A bit disappointed with Never Be A Right Time's chart performance after he had a pretty big #1 single with his last. The chorus does sound a bit weak IMO though, but it's still good.
February 5, 201214 yr I hate how artists can have a huge #1 and then follow it up with a #35 peak like 'Never Be A Right Time'. :( Although I guess Owl City missing the top 100 completely with 'Umbrella Beach' in 2010 was much worse. :o
