February 12, 201214 yr If it had been "Skinny Love" or "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" next it would have been the perfect demonstration of why this horrible club banger / piano ballad fixation has to end. "Wherever You Will Go" still doesn't sound that terrible, maybe because I never liked the original much. To be fair, the US rap club banger craze we've got going on is much worse. Firstly, the songs are of far lower quality than the piano ballads, and secondly, there are many, many more of them. When you think about it, there's only been, maybe about 10 piano ballad hits in the past few years? Compared to probably 100 US rap-club bangers. If you look at the year-end top 40 of 2011, it's basically just Someone Like You and Jar of Hearts, but there's like 20 club bangers in there.
February 12, 201214 yr I quite liked this at the time it was released but it's got dull very quickly. Meh.
February 12, 201214 yr Still love 'Nothing's Real But Love.' I think it's refreshing for a song like this to come out of X Factor. I can see her doing a lesser scale of Christina Perri; a massive song that keeps selling well but other efforts will find it very hard to get into the top 40. It's a shame. EDIT: Speaking of Perri...
February 12, 201214 yr 33 (from 22) Christina Perri - Jar Of Hearts [D] http://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/033/Music/2c/f4/68/mzi.cggkvtra.100x100-75.jpg Chart Run: 52-49-42-46-17-5-4-6-6-8-8-11-12-12-4-7-11-14-17-10-12-18-27-32-30-19-25-27-27-37-22-33 [32 wks] Release date: 27-07-2010 Format: download only track Label: Atlantic Recording Corp./WEA International Inc. February 12, 201214 yr I seriously thought this was a Taio song - and that ISN'T a good thing. Oh why do people buy into this crap? :( It's actually not in any way different to any of Taio Cruz's songs tbh. Or Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, etc. It's so awful. Thank goodness it's not by a well-known artist, or it probably would be getting to #1. :drama:
February 12, 201214 yr Why is "Nothing's Real But Love" back in the Top 40? Has it been reduced in price on a certain download site? It never really deserved it's original 6 week run, let alone a re-entry now.
February 12, 201214 yr I look forward to the inevitable performance of this on The Voice, Christina just refuses to let go of this song  Why is "Nothing's Real But Love" back in the Top 40? Has it been reduced in price on a certain download site? It never really deserved it's original 6 week run, let alone a re-entry now. You answered your own question :P It's apparently on an ad as well. Edited February 12, 201214 yr by Bré
February 12, 201214 yr THIS THIS THIS. What's wrong with our country. Like the only place in the world the song is doing this badly aswell. :( No, it's underperforming almost everywhere, flopping in some other big markets such as Australia or Germany. So bored of Christina Perri...

February 12, 201214 yr I love JOH but it needs to leave for 6 months before inevitably reappearing once XF9 kicks off. Oh and so does 'We Found Love'. It's been the only good thing about the TTT era. I didn't buy her new album since it sounds so weak compared to the brilliance of Loud. Edited February 12, 201214 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes
February 12, 201214 yr We Found Love at #32 - I'd bet any money on Maroon 5 being #31 in that case. This really isn't holding up well since it exited the top 5! Edited February 12, 201214 yr by Bré
February 12, 201214 yr I'm quite sure We Found Love hit the million mark in terms of sales this week :D
February 12, 201214 yr Author No, it's underperforming almost everywhere, Then EVERYWHERE sucks!
February 12, 201214 yr I hope Gotye is number one because its so different from anything else that has a hope of that success this year.
February 12, 201214 yr Soooooooooooooooooooooooo bored of We Found Love (even though I love Rihanna). Out of all of Calvin's instrumentals that I've heard, this is one of the least eventful.
February 12, 201214 yr I look forward to the inevitable performance of this on The Voice, Christina just refuses to let go of this song  Why would she, she probably knows that she'll never have another huge hit so she might as well wring as much money out of Jar Of Hearts as humanly possible before getting on with her life touring tiny venues to a small but loyal fanbase to make a living! Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles, Lisa Loeb, Paula Cole and 100 others can all relate.
February 12, 201214 yr We Found Love is still fantastic. I can't remember the last mainstream pop hit I never tired of like I have this? It must be years now.

February 12, 201214 yr I hope Gotye is number one because its so different from anything else that has a hope of that success this year. I agree. It would certainly be a victory for the charts if it happened. Hopefully if it gets to #1 it'll help us move on and get pretending that 2011 never happened. Lego House.
