I think Gotye has the #1 pretty much in the bag, Guetta never even got back to 90% on iTunes and if an only slightly bigger lead could close the gap by 3k on lower sales days then I don't see how Guetta could hold onto a 2k lead on higher sales days.

That probably only makes sense to me I know :P

I really don't like the Gotye song at all. I think the main appeal (as always with these type of songs) is that it's "different" and apparently "different" = "amazing" these days. :( I find it crap.

Album Discussion Here

Team Gotye this week!

Guetta has had his time and while I wanted 'Titanium' to get to #1, it's not amazing enough to be a multi-week #1.

'My Love Is Your Love' is actually quite decent - that makes 2 Whitney songs that I quite like (alongside 'Million Dollar Bill'). Shame it's pretty much her 2 worst songs that are her most popular...

Glad to see M83 isn't going to be the huge hit I feared it could become.

Do we really need 'Let Me Go' back? <_< So bizarre that this has re-entered over his new single or even 'I Need'.

SURE GOTYA IS NUMBER ONE BY 2000 COPIES AT LEAST

SURE your posts will be removed if you're rude, pointless and tasteless AT LEAST

Let Me Go is my favourite of the two I've heard from him. I haven't heard his new one 'No One' (I'm assuming it'll miss top 40?) but the album seems like it will have reasonable success despite the third single not doing brilliantly...

I love it but I agree that 'different' doesn't always equal amazing. I do wish that it would be a wake up call to the likes of Capital and Heart though that 'different' is what we crave after years of drowning under the weight of 'club bangers', British urban, 'nu boring' and R&B-dance fused songs. Any indie, Europop, rock, trance or any other genre that used to do well but has now been relegated to the sidelines would see a welcome return from many I'm sure. Still, consumers won't buy them if they don't know about them, radio and TV need to get on board.
