I have him on Facebook, I messaged him in case he sees it there first seeing as we're SO desperate to have it open RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE.

I'd rather the semi-final thread opened tonight, but it would be unfair on Jonjo if we started without him. I'd say give him 24 hours notice to include his usually night-time actvities (of posting) and if he hasn't confirmed anything else by then, then it should be opened on Monday evening.

This would be the fairest thing to do, but would probably induce mass suicide in several countries across the Buzzjack world :drama:

There can always be a "reserved for Ojnoj's entry" spot in the Semifinals. As soon as Jonjo re-confirms, voting will start.

Good point actually, just have the thread open as Dandy planned but don't allow voting. It may be a slight unfair advantage on others who have longer to be heard than Jonjo's entry but it would satisfy those who NEED it open right this minute.

I agree with this. Leave a spot for Jonjo's entry, but open the thread today. Then don't allow voting to start until tomorrow night. :D

I'm inclined to open the thread this evening as I'm not really available tomorrow. If Jonjo sends me his entry then I shall slot it in to it's allotted place and make it clear in the thread.

 

If Jonjo decides to not enter an alternate song then I shall fill the empty slot with the Fljótavíkian entrant.

Why has Darin been Veto'd?! I want an explanation? :( (Dandy* I realise it's not your fault aha) I don't see how it's any different from Carly Rae Jespen or Loreen being entered with their tracks :s CRJ especially, considering multiple people were considering sending it... I literally have no other back up so I think I'll miss out this month... But yeah. The only thing I want to know is why he was veto'd?... I definitely do not see him as being cheap within the new rules of cheapness or whatever. :( Would people really have known about it, otherwise?

No one realised how popular Carly Rae Jepsen was until after the confirmation, there wasn't any hype for her beforehand. But then again she still only came 6th so it wasn't a guarenteed winner just because a number of people wanted it. I do agree with you in Loreen's case though.

But wasn't Freeze giving hints that one track in particular was so popular with multiple people confirming, throughout the confirmation process? And the point you made about it only finishing 6th sort of backs my point that Darin, doesn't necessarily need to be veto'd. :lol: Also, I don't see as much hype around Darin as there was for Tone Damli 'Look Back'.

 

But anyway, I have a back up now so I'll move on and I'm sure others have had tracks veto'd when they didn't deserve to be etc..

 

EDIT: Please forgive me as I missed out on the Darin talk you guys had. But I still see no reason as to why he was vetoed. But whateverrrr! :P

Jonjo, the Mods do have long discussions before vetoing and they don't just do it for no reason.
