the Saturdays are following me on twitter :D: lovely

Me too. Don't go feeling special :P

Yeah. With those two, I guess it was more a case of them being put on iTunes, with the record labels not expecting them to sell much at all, and then when the songs started "accidentally" becoming hits worldwide (with fun. due to the Superbowl advert, and with Carly due to Justin Bieber's video), they took them off iTunes to hold them back. Other songs this was done with were Fireflies (I think this was probably another song that "accidentally" became a hit?) and You Need Me by Ed Sheeran.

I think Somebody That I Used to Know was also deleted, as well as the whole Making Mirrors album, before the song was re-added in January

If that's the case then more songs should become hits "accidentally" as these are usually better singles, and the biggest selling too. :D

Yeah. Rack City is another "accidental" hit. It only got popular because of a Youtube video of some kid and his grandma. It would've been a #95 hit like all of Tyga's other singles otherwize, but instead it was a massive top 10 hit, and will probably finish in the year-end top 30.

You mean the "Rack City" that spent two weeks in the very bottom end of the top 40?

Tyga - Rack City - (8 Weeks) 03/03/2012 -55-49-43-40-{39}-44-56-75

Eric means in the US, it peaked at #7 there (I think).

Forgive me for the silly question... but what even IS Rudimental? Anyone able to give a quick summary?

They're a drum n bass group based in Hackney, London. This seems to be the extent of information about Rudimental available on a website - they STILL don't have a page on Wikipedia and neither does their song or John Newman :lol:

These are all the positions on iTunes for Ivi Adamou - La La Love who represented Cyprus at the Eurovision. This song was my favourite and I hope it can climb on iTunes! :)

02 = Cyprus

02 & 32 = Sweden

2 & 56 = Greece

7 & 11 = Norway

9 = Spain

14 = Norway

15 = Estonia

20 = Ireland

21 = Lithuania

28 & 145 = Denmark

29 = Malta

29 = Austria

30 = Germany

35 = Luxembourg

42 = Switzerland

45 = Belgium

46 = UK

81 = France

95 = Italy

103 = Netherlands

Yes Rudimental! :wub: Get that #1 SMASH! One of the best drum n' bass songs to come out. I knew it would go top 10 but I thought #1 was too good to be true! If only Loreen and Rudimental could both be massive #1s as they are both amazing. Anyway, Gary Barlow doesn't have a lot of chance now. Rudimental should get a nice lead, plus he has EP sales and he was released a day before Sing.

Yeah. It was massive there. It entered the chart in December and it only dropped out last week. It got little radio airplay for how big a hit it was aswell (which I can understand, it was a mixtape song, so wasn't ever intended to be on the radio). And it was available for free download legally, so it's one of the biggest success stories of the year imo.

'Sing' at 23 and 53. I think it's now reasonably safe to say it won't be a threat at all (unless it has a lot of BIG promo over the week).

Sebastian Ingrosso up to #24, Alexandra already down to #29 :lol:

Kelly Clarkson "Dark Side" :up: to #81. :cheer:
Come on Kelly. Grab that top 40 smash! :D (Hopefully top 30 at least.)
Boooo at Loreen falling but she had about 25 hours more at #1 on iTunes than I could have ever expected. She was never going to get it officially with NO airplay or promo whatsoever to prop her up (damn you UK media!), but I'm hoping for top five.

I do wonder if Capital/Radio 1 will insist of playlisting 'Euphoria' as, like mentioned yesterday, it's perfect for their audience. If they do, there's still hope for Loreen to have some longevity in the UK charts - might not make #1 officially, but then again Gina G didn't make no. 1 until about 6 weeks into its run. :D

You can never tell how these things will pan out.

My gut feeling still says that radio will ignore it, but I'd LOVE to be proved wrong. And if they do ignore Euphoria then that's it for any future hope of a Eurovision entry getting radio support in the UK, it couldn't BE more perfect for their playlists.

17 Coldplay & Rihanna - Princess of China

With all the new releases! When the video is out when! new peak this week.

It will DEFINITELY just be a blatant hump because of the Eurovision curse if Euphoria goes totally ignored, as you say it's perfect for the playlists. It's no different to We Found Love, Call My Name, Young and the other 'summer dance anthems' radio are loving, except done so much better with that extra special something. Released under normal circumstances, I have no doubt it would be a geniunely MASSIVE hit.
