The Wanted were due in the Radio 1 studio today... unfotunately they seem to have thrown a paddy and cancelled because they weren't numero uno... The only member who's had the courage to raise his head above the parapets was Silva who sounded anything but happy as he tried to convince us he is 'delighted' to be No 2. Aw, Diddums!!

Even though it may be just for one week (depending on whether Loreen can hold up), I'm thrilled to see Fun. reach number-one with 'We Are Young' on its seventh week inside the top 10. The fact it doesn't seem to slowing down in terms of popularity makes it a very likely million seller and will be a 12+ weeker inside the top 10 by the looks of things too (alongside Carly Rae Jepsen, who's on her ninth consecutive week - and still inside the top 3).

A third #2 for The Wanted though doesn't look promising - seems they're following in the path of JLS, we'll see how well the next single does.

Pleased for fun., it's nice to see thee rock/indie songs already at #1 so far this year. Probably more than the previous three years combined
Victory. A truly original song that we will look back as one of the sounds of the year. It would have been a crime if it didn't make it.

Shame for The Wanted, but you can't sniff at a sixth Top 3 hit for them!

Fun. will definitely live on to be a very memorable #1. ^_^

Sales thread open with Emeli Sande's winning margin and sales for Fun and The Wanted!

He didn't seem that annoyed about it to me.

VICTORY FOR FUN! The Wanted loses. And Tulisa loses the battle for most popular youth anthem, as FUN had more weeks in top 5!

What a shock that is

I know sales will be less than stellar, particularly in this weather, but I'm still glad fun. have finally made it  I was convinced this would be the token long running #2/#3 of the year

and another guitar band getting number 1 however poppy this is is always a good thing :D

Talk about coming out of nowhere to get #1 on iTunes, and Loreen makes it to the top of the 'Big Top 40', they had her on the phone so she probably thinks that she's genuinely got a #1 single in the UK!

Any listener who didn't watch Eurovision must be wondering what on earth it is!

They said on Wednesday that they wouldn't be live in the studio - partly to avoid crowds of screaming girlies.

I doubt The Wanted care about their chart positions in the UK these days considering 'Chasing the Sun' was practically manufactured for the US.

YES  So glad WAY did it, I've loved it for ages and CTS is average at best!

Oh I can imagine, I don't mind them but they are such twats nowadays!

This Lawson track sounds more like All Time Low (the band) than The Wanted - so a more 'alternative'-sounding boyband won't be dismissed by me - though the decline in boyband popularity in the past year mean it'll be tough for them when it comes to building up a lengthy chart run; and single #2 will do comparatively worse if not supported.

Emeli Sande back at #1 on the albums chart too - yay! (though these one-weeked #1 albums are getting on my nerves).

But still flopped miserably, even after numerous big platform performances.

Why do you care?

It sounds like Let Loose. I thought I was back in 1995.

Well what a week that was. Kylie debuting suprisingly high than I though, J-Lo misses out on top 10, Tulisa and Gotye remain in top 10 by the inch of their claws, and The Wanted beaten by not only the country's new No.1, but new offical youth anthem too.

A bad week for the Wanted, J-Lo, and somehow Tulisa.
