Posted August 11, 201212 yr Forgive me if I'm being a bit blind, but does anybody have a list (or even better a thread) which lists all of the songs by British artists that became hits on the Billboard Hot 100? (Perhaps 21st century only, which is probably easier.) I figured it's the sort of thing people on here might be interested in.
August 11, 201212 yr I would be interested to see this sort of thing as well. Isn't there one in the International Charts Forum?
August 11, 201212 yr 2012 01. Adele 'Set Fire to the Rain' 02. Ellie Goulding 'Lights' 03. The Wanted 'Glad You Came' 04. One Direction 'What Makes You Beautiful' 06. Jessie J 'Domino' 12. Calvin Harris 'Feel So Close' 16. Adele 'Rumour Has It' 17. Calvin Harris featuring Ne-Yo 'Let's Go' 24. Alex Clare 'Too Close' 39. One Direction 'One Thing' 51. The Wanted 'Chasing the Sun' 62. Rita Ora 'How We Do (Party)' 72. Florence and the Machine 'Shake It Out' 92. Ed Sheeran 'The A Team' If anyone can think of any more, please post. Regardless, it's a weird mix of talent breaking through - we've got boybands, female singers, a male dubstep/soul singer and then on a lower scale Florence and the Machine, who should get another hit with the Harris remix of 'Spectrum' over there.

August 11, 201212 yr I can't believe how successful Ellie Goulding's Lights has been in the US! Especially after flopping in the UK (not that it should have done, it's my favourite single from the album )

August 12, 201212 yr I know but Natalie is British and you could call them British-German at a push :P Technically she *is* German - she was born in Germany, but her parents are British... Plus I find her a lot more attractive than most of the usual 'anorexic' female singers. She's also well ahead of them on personality, too. :) Edited August 12, 201212 yr by vidcapper
