I really dislike "Home Run", it does nothing for me. "Seven Nation Army" is ok I suppose but "Mercy" is a lot better. "Wings" is cute and catchy, while "You Bring Me Joy" is just infectious! Love it!

Wings is the best easily for me because its the only song that is decently written and sounds quite fresh at the same time. Amelia's song isn't bad, but it has to be the most lazy songwriting I've seen in a long time and its hardly that original, Misha's sounds a bit of a mess and Marcus...goodness me, do I need any words?

 

I don't think this top 4 is particularly strong at all though, Little Mix aside possibly, I can't see any of them still around in a years time.

The Script's new one is actually growing on me now, it's far from their best but it's a good #1. I'd much rather have Amelia Lily at #1 but the best case scenario is anything that isn't Ne-Yo really :lol:

Me too. I do hope that Radio 1 have made an edit for the song, otherwise Reggie will only play 10 seconds of it, like Lil Wayne 'Right Above It' and more recently Dappy 'I'm Coming (Tarzan Part 2)' :( Kanye West's 'Mercy' really deserved a place in the top 40 too. #82 is WAY TOO LOW for a song as brilliant as that.

Sophie Habibis actually had the most interesting voice for the girls last year and was my fave. She also, believe it or not had more personality, the show just seemed unwilling to give her airtime. Instead we had croaky, hippy 'out there music taste' brat Janet, obviously a bitch but acted sickly sweet Misha and lets all talk in cliches Amelia presented to us as 'personalities'.

 

People on the show spent more time going on about how Sophie had 'no personality' rather than actually delving into it.

I actually LOVED all four girls last year. Janet >>>> Sophie >>>>>>>> Misha >>> Amelia

 

They all outranked the other contestants too. :P

Radio 1 taking it off their playlist won't help - straight from the A-list too. Is the video out yet? If not, perhaps that could give it the boost it needs to get into the Top 40? And I don't think it has been official released yet, so the release of an digital EP or something should help unless it starts falling fast before then.

Aside from Earthquake, Labrinth didn't really have a huge era, huh? Treatment is bombing, Express Yourself only stuck around for so long because it was 59p for an age, Last Time was a bit of a non-event, and Let The Sun Shine is just a forgotten minor hit. Such a shame.
