Question for Bre or whoever else remembers tis crap - would #37-#1 be the highest climb from within the top 40 ever?

I really am rooting for PSY to grab a week at no. 1 next week as it's gaining popularity (Gotye style). Then there's the possibility of the track returning to no. 1 in October. *.*

People sometimes just don't appreciate a good K-Pop song with an awesome dance move and video.

Yeah it's awful that people can have different opinions on things.

Hopefully the top 3 songs will increase massively over the next few days.

EDIT

Make that the top 2 songs seeing as that pile of w*** has gone up to #3

PSY  #3

Haha, this is hilarious.

Though I'm slightly peeved that PSY's spurt this week will likely mean David Guetta's 'She Wolf' will only climb to #11 (or #12 if Dappy can hold on).

I'm sure there are people on here that like PSY purely because it's Korean. If that song was by an American and sung in English it would be far more hated, because it is just essentially LMFAO in a different languange and the same people that detested them love this.
I personally love LMFAO, and all this slightly novelty dance thing - so I don't think statement particularly applies to me. I loved it from first listen
PSY from 20% to 70% in 3 days and ZERO promo... (expect the YOUTUBE INSANE CLIP)

I only like it because of the video, the song itself is awful (and I quite like LMFAO at times).

I don't like it because it's in Korean; I admittedly am one of those who hate LMFAO but I think Gangnam Style is a much better song anyway and also just funnier. I didn't really find LMFAO even funny just awful (although musically Party Rock Anthem was actually quite interesting I admit, it just wasn't to my taste).

Psy is blatantly going to be huge for weeks on end. I can't say I'd ever listen to it through choice but it did make me laugh when I first saw the video. :D

The best bit of Gangnam Style is the "Hey!! Sexy lady!" part.

Part of the music video seems to be a bit of an Eric Prydz tribute aswell!

I'd say that LMFAO had something like a 2/3 hate, 1/3 love ratio on here (less when it was Sexy...). PSY seems to be the reverse.

Well looks like I'll be adding PSY to my setlist for weddings, disco's and club nights now. I can't wait to see drunk people dance to this

I already have. :drama: It can get messy.

Not sure what's brought KPop to the UK but finally it is slaying your favs and we can all sit an deal with that. PSY for #1!

 2. Gangnam Style (강남스타일) - PSY

The Script do have a bit of a lead but I think PSY will be #1 by the end of tomorrow at the rate he's climbing!

'Chasing Cars' isn't doing anywhere near as well as it usually does when reduced to 59p - hopefully that trend will continue to the point where it doesn't go top 100 again even on a reduction (although it never seems to leave the top 200 for any reason so it's bound to get close again every now and then). As it is though it will be back in the official top 100 and probably top 75 still <_<

Mumford & Sons 'Little Lion Man' is back  to #86 ('The Cave' #136) and not reduced to 59p so I guess just recharting because of 'I Will Wait' reminding people they exist! Or maybe it's being used somewhere, who knows :P Hope it can re-enter the official top 100 anyway. 'I Will Wait' itself at #14, bit disappointed it's a faller so far in this week's mids but hopefully will be at least back to #16 by the end of the week. I could see this having an 'I Won't Give Up'-esque run, hopefully even longer than that.

Little Mix are back up to 8 with Wings :cheer: Loving how it's stayed put and I still want it top 10 officially for another week or two.

Where is One More Night by Maroon 5 on iTunes? It's just reached #1 in the Hot 100!!!! :o I really wasn't expecting that, I was expecting Taylor Swift again. I can't believe it's not even top 100 here yet (although it did debut top 100 on album release week).
