Team Example this week with no doubt!!! good start top 100 in the night...

 94. Say Nothing (Radio Edit) - Example

 159. Good Intentions - Dappy

 186. Get It Started (feat. Shakira) - Pitbull

Example already top 100 in less than 2 hours from an EP pre-order is good going.

UPDATE:

 91. Say Nothing (Radio Edit) - Example

 137. Good Intentions - Dappy

 181. Get It Started (feat. Shakira) - Pitbull

Adele back  to #71 with 'Set Fire To The Rain' after being used on both SCD and XF. 'Someone Like You' also back  to #97 because why not.

A bit of Shakira in the chart can't be a bad thing, right? (Well maybe, if it's that awful Pitbull track. :()

I'm firmly Team Example out of the new releases, even if Say Nothing isn't his best!

I don't see Ellie getting to #1 with this anyway..especially if 1D moved forward a week because then they'd just remain at #1..

Oh please - have you *seen* how rapidly sales drop 2nd week for heavily pre-promoted songs, at least 50%. So even if OD sell 100% 1st week, they'd be down to 50k on week 2 0 nowhere near enough for a #1 nowadays...

Dappy's new single isn't heavily rap orientated

OK, I'll just have to rely on the fact that's he's a total asshole, instead...

With regards to the last topic, the reason No Doubt are heading for a hefty flop is because there's been no exposure, and no buzz outside of the internet.

If I were a casual member of the public, I certainly would not know of its existence.

Might that not merely mean it won't be front-loaded? In any case, it looks as if it's been put back a week anyway...

PS, Gwen still looks as fit as ever! ;)

Pitbull could get top 20. Shakira in that video is mindblowingly beautiful as always

I'l be surprised to see it peak outside the T10 - not even Pitbull should be enough of a millstone to drag it any further down than that...

Isn't it crazy how anything that Example releases is almost guaranteed to be challenging for the #1 spot

I agree, though probably not for the same reasons... :P

Has Dappy actually released?

I am supporting Example for #1 as much as the song is far from his best. Gerry would also be a good #1 for the history/stats and I certainly wouldn't mind 'Hall Of Fame' getting a second week either.

The Script are back up to 0.75 of Gerry from a low point of 0.65, not sure how GATP will hold up over the week especially if they lose the #1 effect to Example.

That's the main problem with these spur-of-the-moment campaigns, they tend to be orchestrated by people who don't know the best time of week to start them, i.e. Sunday.

Could someone please post a list of songs used on XF last night - I don't see one elsewhere?

1. At least 50% isn't really true, most of them have dropped by about 40%

2. They're likely to sell more than 100k if it's held back

3. They're likely to hold up far better if it's not held back.

That isn't to say Ellie won't get #1, more that it'll be harder than you may think.

No, it means it will slump in at a lowly position and fall away completely. I do actually want it to do well though, I just don't see how it would.

Someone Like You is back because someone 'sang' it Xtra Factor btw :P
Let's hope Example is held off no.1 somehow. His song is just as pretentious and generic as everything else he's ever released. Dappy can piss off too.

#057 Example – Say Nothing

#089 Dappy – Good Intentions

#159 Pitbull feat Shakira - Get It Started

#183 Alex Clare – Treading Water

#336 Delilah – Shades Of Grey

#740 Lianne La Havas - Forget

#869 Lianne La Havas - Forget

----

#021 Otto Knows - Million Voices

#025 PSY - Gangnam Style

Example for #1 please :D

It really is. Considering how awful he is.

I want Dappy for #1, but it's looking unlikely now lol. I hope Public Enemy and Tulisa can get an extra week in the top 40. Clique too, but that'll probably start free-falling uncontrollably soon.
Out of all the new releases this week I prefer Example over Dappy any day, I would prefer Gerry & The Pacemakers just for a chart statistically point of view, I do wonder if the track holds out, its constantly been used for the new channel 5 programme as a theme tune, but I can see Example overtaken it. Ugh... another new #1.
