October 16, 201213 yr Author I wonder if the new GA single will go OA/OS, something else to watch out for this week. It’s here! The finished version of Something New will be played on radio from midday and will also be on YouTube to listen in full https://twitter.com/girlsaloud
October 16, 201213 yr I have a feeling Leona's sales will drop by the end of the week, and she will peak at #3 behind Mumford. Jake Bugg definitely getting the number 1.
October 16, 201213 yr Haha i knew Jake Buggs album was out this week but never thought he would be no1 on the first mids - disasterous for a global superstar like Leona Lewis to be behind him - great news for Jake - although album sales must be poor if he's out on top - him and Leona could only be around 25k - Mumfords will get another week at the top!!

October 16, 201213 yr Author I know this sounds random, but I just heard the new GA single on capital radio (first play) I'm actually impressed, bit repetitive towards the end. :D http://www.capitalfm.com/artists/girls-alo...-something-new/ HkTgYpjmhw0
October 16, 201213 yr Lets hope it can be a big seller - in this case an OA/OS release would be wrong - maybe even leaving it until 5/11 could g=be the perfect time but leaving until airplay grows and Children in Need week - 19/11 - would mean massive first week sales!
October 16, 201213 yr I'm still rooting for James bugg! His album is GREAT unlike Leona but I think she will make it :(

Leona Lewis a global superstar? Maybe 4 years ago but Collide reached top ten in two countries.
October 16, 201213 yr I first heard Jake Bugg's songs yesterday. He's a terrific talent, & he will hopefully end up as big as Ed Sheeran. Jake is only 18 or 19, & does Music that is influenced by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, & Oasis. Noel Gallagher is a Jake Buggs Fan. Edited October 16, 201213 yr by zeus555

October 16, 201213 yr Who the hell is Jake Bugg? The guy that will always be known as beating Leona to #1 :kink:
October 16, 201213 yr Calvin will obviously be #1, another dance #1 this year to follow Titanium, Hot Right Now, Feel The Love, Bom Bom and Don't You Worry Child. Loads of other #1's have had dance influence too - Call My Name, Spectrum, Young etc...the genre has really had a commercial resurgence in the past few years, it was all but dead in the charts in the mid-00s, there wasn't a single dance #1 in 2005 unless you count Hung Up or Axel F!
October 16, 201213 yr Anyone who saw a reasonable amount of the Olympics coverage is likely to have heard this fY0oPg1h8fQ He's an 18-year-old singer-songrwriter from Nottingham. As already said Noel Gallagher is a fan and has invited Jake to support him on tour. There's plenty more in Sunday's commentary :D
October 16, 201213 yr The guy that will always be known as beating Leona to #1 :kink: It ain't over till the Hackney lady sings!
October 16, 201213 yr The guy who gave us the info said it includes pre-orders. But he also said the figures don't include the copies sold from her signing yesterday and that Leona is selling more CDs than Jake. So it looks like it could be quite close come the end of the week! Just to reaffirm this:- JAMESINREHAB @LeonaGlassheart @OnlyLeona didn't take in sales from her Hmv signing. Plus she is selling more physical CDs which tend to sell more on Sat Leona could snatch it by the end of the week as the swing moves towards physicals/supermarket shoppers.
October 16, 201213 yr It ain't over till the Hackney lady sings! Don't get me wrong im a Leona fan however i just think if she can't be ahead in the first midweeks with pre-orders, An XF appearance [Performing to her core audience] and a Top 10 single against someone that has not made the Top 60 singles chart yet and has had no major TV/Radio support then i think the battle is lost just simply because sales must be so low for her to be trailing 2.5k when you would assume that the majority of her fanbase would have wanted to buy the album on day of release - And what would the album signing have added to her sales - 1k? - Can see both her and Jake being overtaken by Mumford & Sons and Leona charting as low as #3
