At least we will get a new number this week also... the gap is very big with all the top 3 versions.

I wouldnt' say Labrinth/Emeli are 100% going to be number one come Sunday, I expect they will start dropping quite fast come Wednesday, But I agree by Wednesday Swedish House Mafia would have to be #01 combined to have any hope of going to number one. It's looking likely that Labrinth & Emeli will have over 100,000 sales regardless this weekend!

Combined.

01. Labrinth & Emeli Sande - Beneath Your Beautiful 100%

02. Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child 60%

But all of their leading singles were number 1s...

So? No artist has a complete run of straight number ones with lead off singles. And it's not the be all and end all certainly. Just cause some people want it to be the end for them...

YOU'RE BOTH DELLUDED. Go on the Pop Forum (JLS THREAD) so I don't have to see this debate. Thanks x

For JLS standards, they are NOT doing great. Yes they're #3 on the iTunes but they obviously will drop rapidly soon once the X Factor effect + new release effect wear off and basically without the performance, this song would be struggling to reach Top 5 tbh.

All boy groups get so unfairly treated on here, it's just ridiculous. It's like some people can't think logically when it's something to do with a boy band. They could have their next 10 singles miss #1 and still be around.

Also, I'm delighted to see Rebecca Ferguson looking at a 2nd week top 40!!

I hate how people deem a song a flop on how it does 24 hours after release  It's fairly obvious that most songs like JLS's will be frontloaded, but you never know how the song will do in the near future. It is all about overall sales at the end of the day.

For the record i DONT think HGITW will remain in the chart for more than a month, but it's doing decently atm.

Taylor ALWAYS does this well in the USA, it's not exactly anything new. Surprised but VERY pleased to see 'Everything Has Changed' is the highest album track in the USA as well and hope it can get to #1 on iTunes - I haven't heard it but it's just amazing to see a song with Ed Sheeran doing so well. If it could somehow help '+' and 'The A Team' more that would be fantastic (although both have done alright in the USA already).

'Everything Has Changed' up to #45 in the UK, looking likely to be a sixth top 40 hit off this album for her already. It actually has 1-2 days' advantage over the promo singles which were released on Tuesday/Wednesday.

EDIT: 'Everything Has Changed' just had a massive jump to #26, definitely heading for the top 40 then and maybe even top 20 if it keeps climbing at this rate!

I still have Everything Has Changed at #45, but if it is at #26 then iTunes top 10 isn't out of the question! :o

 24. Flaws - Bastille

Good to see it making some progression, get in that top 20 soon plz

472. All I Know - Fenech-Soler

^ Any chance R1 might add this to their playlist this week? I remember some of their past singles getting support

 23. Light Up the World - Steps

 24. Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran) - Taylor Swift

Bastille are back down to #30 after being #24 minutes ago  That has to be some sort of mistake surely? JLS are somehow down to #6 as well, no way their pop bars collapsed that much that quickly - looks like a dodgy update to me. Naughty Boy also collapsed from #11 to #15, although the version from Emeli's album is climbing fast (up to #43, 'Beneath Your Beautiful' from Emeli's album also climbing fast up to #38).

Yesterday's releases falling unusually quickly and today's climbing unusually quickly - definitely something fishy going on here.

They did, R1 playlisted Lies, Demons and Stop and Stare from their last album so I remember. It got played on Annie Mac's show on R1 last Friday, so you never know it could be playlisted if we play our cards right. Fenech are great and so underrated.

#3 is good for anyone, JLS aren't the forces they once were anyway!

Great to see Everything Has Changed so high, it's not the very best track on Red or anything but it's still great (such is the quality of the album) and any Taylor song doing so well is fine by me.

I'm so shocked at how well STEPS are doing! So happy at the same time, but considering it hasn't even got a video - this is doing incredibly well!

Considering JLS are now on their 4th album I think a number 3 single is perfectly acceptable.

Girls Aloud didn't exactly basque in Number 1 singles - Long Hot Summer, Biology, Sexy No No No etc all didn't reach the top of the charts for instance.

Not many pop acts even get this far into their careers (Burke for instance) without failing - so getting a top 5 singles after Proud, TCAM and DYFWIF is good IMO.

On another topic - excellent to see Steps doing so well - wonder if this will lead to more singles etc next year :)

How have Steps suddenly climbed that much, do they have any promo planned? They need to plan some asap or film a video! I really expected this to be a #143 smash!

I think we should wait and see how well this JLS song holds up. #3 isn't bad by any means, but the facts are that this is their first lead single not to go to number 1 and its had no less support than the releases that did. If its out of the top 20 within three weeks, then it's a disappointment. (IIRC Pround had very little airplay, so was really relying on the charity tag for a lot of its sales)

On a happier note, Bastille almost top 20  to think earlier this year, I was discussing in this very thread how it was so criminal how unknown they were!

So happy to see Steps so high, considering how umpromoted it has been its doing great, this really does show if they promoted it could go top 20 at the least and also there is still a market for them, if they were backed by a major record company they could do just aswell as they did first time round.

Take A Chance on Me went to Number 2 last year and was a pre-album released song

Do I assume the terrible grammar on 'Beneath Your Beautiful' is on purpose? If so, Beneath Your Beautiful what?

Bre, help!
