How have Steps suddenly climbed that much, do they have any promo planned? They need to plan some asap or film a video! I really expected this to be a #143 smash!

H & one of the women were on Pointless Celebrities at the weekend. They went out first round though. Also, Scott Mills was in one of the teams, and he got knocked out on a question about musical theatre. Way to break the stereotype, Mr Mills.

Do I assume the terrible grammar on 'Beneath Your Beautiful' is on purpose? If so, Beneath Your Beautiful what?

Bre, help!

It's 'would you let me see beneath your beautiful?' in the context of the lyrics. Slightly clumsy lyrics but it's no error :P

PHEW. I knew you would know! Was bugging me greatly, but now I can let Labrinth off.

Thanks Bre :D

I love the lyrics for Beneath Your Beautiful, it only struck me the other day it's a double entendre and the chorus can mean both:

- 'would you let me see beneath your beauty and what's inside'

- 'would you let me see that beneath everything you're beautiful'

When I saw the title at first though I was like 'major wtf' and my OCD grammar tendencies took over but at least it does make sense in the context

There's still Example and "you don't have to say nothing" to get on your nerves! :P

Strange movements in the iTunes charts just now. I was hoping Naughty Boy would go top 10 on iTunes, but he's down to #13 now.

Amazing to see Steps heading for top 20 on iTunes though! :o That's very impressive imo. And Taylor Swift up to #24 on iTunes aswell. Infact, a lot of her album tracks are doing very well here. She could get a lot of top 75 entries this week if they hold up.

EDIT: ED SHEERAN IS #1 ON US ITUNES!!!!!!!!! And there's 4 Taylor Swift album tracks in the top 5. Imagine that happened in the UK charts.

Taylor Swift is gona have a good few entries this week, what an era for her in the UK. I really hope Steps hold up or even continue to climb.
Has the feed reverted? JLS, Naughty Boy and Bastille all taken sharp falls in the last hour or so...

Sort of, but there's also been sharp climbs for Steps and Taylor Swift's and Emeli Sande's album tracks. Most importantly, Dappy is at #100.

It's like all the songs released on Sunday have dropped sharply, and all the songs released on Monday have climbed sharply. Perhaps iTunes have changed their formula for the chart or something (e.g. making it 24 hour instead of 48 hour). Or maybe it'll fix itself in a bit.

This could possibly happen. It's going around that iTunes 11 is released tomorrow, so they might be changing certain things about how the charts are compiled.

Bastille better climb the hell into the top 20 though!

How come I posted about JLS, Naughty Boy and Bastille suddenly dropping loads and no one comments on it until a good two hours later? :drama:

Naughty Boy and Bastille are inching back up but JLS' sudden slump is bizarre - everything else is acting completely normally though so I have no idea what is going on.

iTunes changing their formula for the chart could be it actually - so maybe it really is a 24-hour chart now. That would make sense as it would cut out a huge chunk of yesterday's releases' sales whereas the rest of the songs have all been out for at least a week anyway.

And I was amazed at the chart week after the Olympic closing ceremony!

Can someone please explain what you mean by iTunes have changed their formula to a 24 hour chart and how this would only affect JLS (by the looks of things).

Also how often would it update in future now?

JLS now showing up as #3 again  Naughty Boy also back up to #11 and Bastille #24, Steps down to #34 and Taylor/Ed down to #35. This may just be a revert though :drama:

Looks like the last update was a mistake, rather than the current update being a revert, looks like Steps were never that high up in the first place :(

Wow amazing to see Beneath Your Beautiful doing so well, what an impact from the x factor performance :o

Can anyone let me know where Trouble is combined? (#30 & #49) One more week top 20 possible? Hoping for it to be made 59p.

Looking at Kworb, combing those two versions would put her about #19 - so its close! Hopefully she can at least stay top 25 though!

Beneath Your Beautiful lead combined (and not combined) is huge.. it's over for this week.
