Girls Aloud, Lana Del Rey and Stooshe all moving up the playlist! :D Nice to see them supporting Coldplay’s Hurt Like Heaven and P!nk’s Try. Hopefully Try will start moving up the chart quicker now and Hurt Like Heaven hopefully will reach at least the Top 40.
Can't believe Asaf Avidan is out already :( So much for it doing a Gotye.
kesha AND pink added on the same week! yes! I really hope they can both be big hits.
Ke$ha and Pink yes  Also lots of great movement up the lists :D
I'm surprised the new track by Imagine Dragons - Hear Me is not playlisted yet.
Thought One Direction would have been on by now, though i guess it will next week. Also Radio 1 have ditched McFly, even though they came in to premier the song on the Scott Mills show. And no Plan B, thought they would still be on board with him. Surprised at Asaf Avidan off so quickly, just when it's started to creep up the charts!

I think I'm pleased at them not jumping on Robbie even though he's heading for #1. Thought Tulisa might have been snubbed after the performance of 'Live It Up', guess that was too much to ask for.

Woo for Bruno. Still milking this era for Ed Sheeran? Not that I mind, I went to see him live last night and the performance of 'Give Me Love' was incredible.

Ke$ha, hurrah!

Delighted to see Grimmy selecting 'Losing You' as well, I can only dream that it breaks through though I suppose...

There are going to be alot of big hitters missing the alist in the next few weeks - too many big artists (maybe thats why they arent playlisting mcfly yet lol).

Why on earth did they ditch One Day/ Reckoning Song already - just as its creeping up the itunes chart - if they had supported it properly it could have went top 10 - instead it stalled in the c & b list for a number of weeks.

Great to see their support for Rudimental - it could challenge for the top 5 now and the killers get a 2nd single alisted!!

Bruno going straight on the B list is brilliant!

I wonder if they'll put Solangè on the playlist next week after being a Big Thing for 2 consecutive weeks. One of the best tracks out atm.

Really nice to see Lana and Coldplay climbing!

Especially pleased to see Ke$ha and Pink added. I love their current singles so much, 'Try' is amazing. Hope they can smash.

Pleasing to see Stooshe on the B-List was half expecting this track to be ignored!
Bruno being blisted suggests it could be released on Sunday!

Well, Radio 1 do state that he is just not relevant to their listeners rather than too old. They have played songs by older artists recently - I'm pretty sure J.Lo was older than Robbie is now when she released 'On The Floor'.

That said, the (supposed) ageism really, really annoys me. I mean with 'Candy' you can see logic - it's very "old man trying to be funny" and thus seems very suited to Radio 2 and the likes. But you simply do not go to #1 if 15-29 year olds do not like your song. If Radio 1 were blanking him because they didn't think he was relevant, they would have playlisted him this week, as the whole iTunes smashing thing proved he IS relevant. But WHATEVER, Radio 1 are on occasion super shit but they're still better than like every other radio station in the UK so I can tolerate the occasional injustice.

To be honest, I don't think it's Radio 1's target audience that are the main people downloading the songs, and therefore deciding the charts anyway. Almost all the biggest hits of last year were adult contemporary songs, and a similar thing seems to have happened this year.
I do agree that 'Candy' is quite an adult contemporary song, that's why I said I think it was logical for Radio 1 to assume it didn't fit in with their audience. I just don't think the sort of people we usually assume adult contemporary music appeals to (i.e. middle-aged people) are the type to buy music on iTunes. I mean yes, some people in that age bracket will certainly use iTunes, but surely not enough to get 120k sales (or whatever Robbie ends up on). I'm pretty sure 'Candy' has appeal to at least some people in the 15-29 y/o age bracket that Radio 1 is so obsessed with, even if it is more towards the higher end of that bracket. If the sort of people who liked adult contemporary music really had a big impact on the iTunes chart then Radio 2 would have far more impact than it does, I think.
