Anyone know if Vince Kidd got into the top 200?
^ That most likely won't be known until Thursday, unless Vince states the position on his Twitter account.
Is anyone else surprised at how well 1D's album has been holding up? Almost a year after its release and it's still at No. 24. Does anyone know what its lowest position has been so far?

I do find this odd especially as their singles since the first have slid out of the chart pretty quick. Can anyone suggest why? Because you're beautiful is still everywhere all the time but it's really not that amazing imho - grease rip off!

Ahhh! Good to see The Killers manage to hold onto the top 20 (below P!nk still, though :arrr:) hopefully that'll change this coming week though. But for this week i'm very pleased wiyh how it's held up. :D

Hmm...Why are you so obsessed with them charting below Pink? Both have released brilliant albums and both will do well during the Xmas shopping season and The Killers got #1 album. No problem there really...

No I can't really explain why. They're a big fanbase act so all the fans should already have the album, I don't get who would only be buying the album now, a year after its release. With the likes of Emelie and Ed I can see them gaining new fans throughout the year, but that doesn't really happen with boy bands, which makes it all the more odd!

Shame Misha B only got to #9 I thought it was close to the top 5 last time I'd looked, still a slight improvement on Home Run's chart position!

because i want them higher than P!nk in the EOY charts and they're not going to do that if P!nk is above them every week. (P!nk because she was released same week and i fear people will start shouting out that they're flops/non-#1 etc... and in all honesty I dont think the loon in me could cope with that :kink: so it'd be nice if they stay abover her now. I imagine sales are so close between them both.

I would never call The Killers new album a non #1, it has good sales if we take into account how low sales are this year, and anyway there are around 10 number 1s that have lower sales in total this year. Plus I think not many people checks how P!nk performs compared to The Killers just because they were released the same week. But that's only my opinion. :D

(PS: the Christmas sales are still to come... ;))

Haha well everything's possible because seems that ALL albums without at least 40 weeks on chart and selling under platinum status are "non #1's" here.

I think BB is the best album of the year. But Pink will probably have more longevity anyway. We'll see!

You should just be like me and ecstatic that both albums are still as high as they are. My two favourite birthday presents this year!

I would if P!nk's album was up to her usual standards, but this album just isn't cutting it for me. bar a couple of (major) highlights, the album is so weak for her. But anyway, I'm still on a high after seeing my favourite ever band live for the first time over a week ago. It was quite an experience for me ha. So ignore my looning :P

No sign of Buble yet in the albums chart?

We do have 'Crazy Love' back due to his upcoming concerts and whatnot being advertised on TV, no sign of 'Christmas' yet but it should make a big impact when the deluxe version is actually released (next week).

Indeed he's over here next week too i think!

Just thought people would ahve started buying it this week like they do with most xmas albums as hmv move them to the front rows of the store (like xmas dvds). For example NOW xmas went top 10 last week, albeit with a new version (without Mariahs version of AIWFC  ) and alot of the older compilations moved into the toip 75!

Are there some special offers going on for the Drake, Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler, ABBA and Justin Fletcher albums (and for that matter Queen and Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits albums which both re-entered last week) or is there another reason they're back? Fletcher in particular seems like a very odd re-entry. Also not sure what's got 'We Found Love' back in as high as #78.

Also worth noting that 'Sexy And I Know It' has dropped out of the top 100 for the first time since it started this run - it wasn't included in the above top 10 as it had a previous unrelated week at #60 but Gotye is thus now #1 there even ignoring that one week.

We Found Love might have had a late boost from Calvin Harris' 18 Months release, and maybe because of the premiere of Rihanna's Diamond video.

As for Dire Straits, ABBA, Queen and Bon Jovi, I suspect it is the Christmas effect starting to kick in, although they could always be reduced as well. I agree that Justin Fletcher is an odd re-entry, although that too could be experiencing a Christmas effect - good album to get little children I guess.

^^Is that this weeks positions - thought Mariah would have been higher than The Pogues. Any app sales for them?
