I think Olly has this in the bag.

 

He had it in the bag since in the first update we got at 00:30 he was leading.

This. After her first she done nothing and JLS aren't big anymore.. it's only Olly and 1D.

 

Whilst JLS aren't as big anymore - this Olly release is the lead in to his 3rd album - that single for JLS was She Makes Me Wanna... which got to number 1 outside the show and without an XF peformance.

 

However Olly will outlast them albumswise anyway as pop groups have a shelf life which JLS are seemingly coming to the end of

Leona Lewis and JLS say :hi: I wouldn't call him the most sucessful ever, but he definiately is the most sucessful right now (in the UK, worldwide it is of course One Direction)

 

Leona had the most success with the first album, back in 2007 - 2008. She hasn't had a proper hit since 'Run' and all her latest material has flopped.

JLS have been selling less and less with every release.

Both of Olly's albums have sold 800K and he actually had more success with his second album than his first one (singles wise), and now his third lead single is already #1 and beating the comeback of Girls Aloud.

I think Olly's remarkably sustained success (which is better than most 'genuine' artists let alone XF artists - not many can claim to improve on an 800k+ selling debut with the follow-up) puts him a notch above at least Leona who was very much a one album wonder, albeit a very big one album wonder. Perhaps JLS are still bigger for now but I could see Olly continuing to be massively successful for many years to come while JLS are only fairly successful (and even that largely because of their fanbase) into the 4th year of their career.

Brilliant to see Olly at #1 and he'll hopefully get an enormous lead over GA now :D I knew BuzzJack were overhyping GA's chance of #1, although a high selling #2 is still impressive TBF.

Great for Olly! Ideally I'd like to see the new releases in this order:

But that's not going to happen. I actually don't mind any of the new releases at the moment, they're all good, somewhat. I still think GA's is overrated and disappointing for a GA single, but I have warmed to it slightly since their performance on CiN.
