November 21, 201213 yr Bet no-one would have previously thought Rudimental's follow-up would miss the T10! I never expected Rudimental to even bother releasing a follow-up let alone get another hit - however it is disappointing that it's going to miss the top 10 when it was looking like doing so just before its release. A song like this would never have got even anywhere near this high if it weren't the follow-up to a massive #1 to be fair.
November 21, 201213 yr Author AC/DC back in chart racks Source: MW by Paul Willams AC/DC are set to make their biggest impact yet on the UK singles chart after their prestigious catalogue was finally made available on iTunes. Several of the legendary band's Sony-handled classic tracks look likely to chart for the first time ever in the UK, while a number of their albums are registering among the week's Top 200 sellers, according to the Official Charts Company. Leading on the midweek singles chart at this stage of the week is the title track of their 1980 album Back Is Black, which is the week so far's 31st biggest seller. The cut has never previously charted individually in the UK, nor has the 1972-issued Whole Lotta Rosie, which presently registers as a new entry at 72. Also impacting on Sales Flashes is Highway To Hell, which reached 56 in 1979 and is now at 40, and You Shook Me All Night Long, which reached 42 in 1980 and is currently at 42, one place ahead of the band's Thunderstruck. On albums the band's showing is led at 14 by Live At River Plate, a newly-issued title capturing a December 2009 performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during their Black Ice world tour. It could be joined in Sunday's chart by 1980 set Back In Black, which is generally recognised as the second biggest-selling album of all time worldwide behind Michael Jackson's Thriller. It returns at 63 in the midweeks, while other AC/DC albums appearing are Iron Man 2 - OST (No 100), Highway To Hell (143) and Live (175). AC/DC's recordings debuted on iTunes worldwide on Monday in an exclusive deal and makring the first time they have gone on sale digitally. The available catalogue comprises 16 studio albums, five live sets and three compilations.

'Wonder' is being used in the advert for the new HTC phone I think too, so that must be helping.
November 21, 201213 yr Paul Kramer @Paulhitsheet Good Led Zepellin feature on @RobertElms show right now... 94.9 FM - New live album close to #1 in midweeks. 12:40 PM - 21 Nov 12 · Details All seems so dodgy now if Rihanna is 20k ahead. That's not even close to "close".
November 21, 201213 yr So, Something New will be Girls Aloud's 12th top 3, 9th Top 2 and 21st top 10 single.
November 21, 201213 yr They are probably saying 'close' as it's #2 so only a place away, but in terms of sales it's not actually close. Rihanna wouldnt be happy with anything less than #1.
November 21, 201213 yr So Rihanna is on less than 64k so far. Not great sales. there seems to be a lot of online negativity about her new album - I wonder if that is affecting sales
November 21, 201213 yr Kylie holding up well, it is a matter now if she can hold top 25 through the week. The Killers dropped me than i would have liked this week, maybe it will pick up through the week. Coldplay must be charting on the dvd chart with the live release, either that or it is completely flopping.
November 21, 201213 yr Robbie Williams going 01-05-10? Makes Rudebox look like a smash hit album! :drama: Emeli Sande to fall out of the Top 10 for the first time? :o Not sure why Rita Ora is up 7 places, but it's good to see nevertheless! I was expecting to see Kylie's Abbey Road Sessions to fall further, even with the Strictly performance, so it's great that it should manage to remain T30. Before this week, I wouldn't have expected to see Whitney Houston's new greatest hits to be that low, but then again, she didn't have a big album "death effect".
November 21, 201213 yr Coldplay must be charting on the dvd chart with the live release, either that or it is completely flopping. It certainty won't be flopping - it was Top 10 on iTunes the last I checked, so it would have been Top 40 if it was eligible. It is strange that it's not chart eligible, even if it was a CD+DVD release it should still chart.
November 21, 201213 yr Susan Boyle is doing unbelievably considering she has had no promotion, has anyone seen her perform anywhere? :o No hype around this album at all so to be #5 is really impressive. She did get a little bit of press today on Twitter. It was announced that Susan Boyle would be having an album party to celebrate its release. Unfortunately, the hash tag the used to promote it was: #susanalbumparty
November 21, 201213 yr She did get a little bit of press today on Twitter. It was announced that Susan Boyle would be having an album party to celebrate its release. Unfortunately, the hash tag the used to promote it was: #susanalbumparty LOL How unfortunate. So no real big promo for it at all, normally she'd come out and perform, maybe she'll be on final of X Factor? Edited November 21, 201213 yr by Karma
November 21, 201213 yr Wasn't Susan Boyle on CIN? Yeah, and by her standards, it wasn't very good. :(
November 21, 201213 yr Good to see Highway To Hell at #40 probably will fall by Sunday but its all good.
November 21, 201213 yr So Rihanna is on less than 64k so far. Not great sales. there seems to be a lot of online negativity about her new album - I wonder if that is affecting sales So selling 60K-64K in 2 days is not great? That means 25K-29K in the second day of sales... If she follows the trend of a 25% loss each day she would do: #1 - 35K #2 - 26,25K #3 - 19,7K #4 - 14,8K #5 - 11,1K #6 - 8.3K = 115.15K And I dont see sales being that low by the end of the week
November 21, 201213 yr Over 100K for first week is amazing, especially in todays sales climate for albums. Also Rihanna is performing on X Factor Sunday so another big week for her album sales wise, + will sell well over Christmas i'm sure.
