Mcfly only #19 and they have been on a few TV shows. Will see if they can at least hold on to a top20 placing.

Imagine Dragons still have 2 tracks in the 40, hmm... not too sure what's happening there, are they really charting separately. It seems odd.

 

'Hear Me' is EP sales, 'Radioactive' is sales of the track 'Radioactive'. The OCC don't combine releases like this. First time it's produced 2 simultaneous top 40 hits but Knife Party got two top 100 hits with 'Rage Valley' the EP and 'Bonfire' the track a while ago.

 

I think in this case it's more to do with promotion starting a week too late.

 

It's holding up this week because the album release means it has a couple of extra versions hanging around.

 

Boo at Mariah going top 40 but it was expected really. Hope The Pogues can climb a couple more places by Sunday. I was kind of hoping 'Six Degrees Of Separation' would miss the top 40, it's an okay song but would have been mildly amusing after 'Hall Of Fame'. Yay at Ed Sheeran climbing, hope he can still manage a peak higher than #18. DJ Fresh looks like he could actually re-peak as well, never expected this re-release to work!

I expect Troublemaker will sell another 75k this week. Locked Out of Heaven around 60k and Diamonds about 45k?

I think Rihanna will be more like 50k, Bruno 70k and Olly 85k. Olly has promoted a lot this week, so the drop I feel wont be as steep as it might.

What position is 'A Thousand Years' exactly? Would LOVE it if it could get a play on XF or Strictly (again) over the weekend to push it top 10 officially!

Great that Olly extended the sales gap, he will 100% do the double now.

I think so too. But the album is absolutely brilliant for a boy band, there are loads of other potential hits too. LWWY was actually a bit too safe choice for first single.

 

 

Totally agree. I think the streaming on itunes really helped, releasing LWWY as first single didn't do it any justice. There are some great songs on the album.

Hopefully around the #11-12 mark but could possibly drop to #13-14 after having dropped in the last two days :(
