November 27, 201213 yr Well, that's what Anastacia used to be like.......before she alienated most fans and refuses to make a proper comeback. I can dream though.
November 27, 201213 yr Olly should easily reach the 100k mark. He'll do a double this week. One Direction is doing annoyingly well.
November 27, 201213 yr I'm not surprised by 1D sales - We are selling loads at work and it seems to be the ideal stocking filler present being bought by Mums, Aunts, Nans etc, for teenage girls. I don't think since release day iv actually sold a copy to someone under 40 so there are clearly going to be alot of 1D CDs getting wrapped up
November 27, 201213 yr Chart News: Albums 1 Olly Murs (45k) 2 One Direction (18.7k) 3 Girls Aloud (18.6k) 4 Rihanna (17.8k) 25 Kelly Clarkson (5k) What underwhelming sales for Girls Aloud..not how they planned their .comeback. going I'm guessing... Terrible sales for the amazing Kelly Clarkson sadly. Rihanna could be #2 come Sunday? Very close. OneD looking like they will spend a good length of time in the top 10 over Christmas period as expected. Edited November 27, 201213 yr by Karma
November 27, 201213 yr No new entries in the Top 20 if this is to be believed - Mr Views @mrviews MIDWEEKS! No new UK entries in the top 20! (must be the first time in a while)...Rihanna,Labrinth,Alicia Keys & Wiley all still in top 20
November 27, 201213 yr Author No new entries in the Top 20 if this is to be believed - Ke$ha  must be top 20, mind you judging by the iTunes chart, it could be the only new entry the rest are just climbers from outside the top 40, as Otto Knows, Maria, Pogues are literally outside the top 40
November 27, 201213 yr ke$ha keeps going in and out of the top 200 on mine, so it wouldn't surprise me if Itunes is messing up, or some data is missing.
November 28, 201213 yr Murs is bossing things as per usual. Shoving it down the haters throats. He's a force to be reckoned with and he'll continue to sell albums as his albums are always good, people remember and buy again next year when the annual Olly machine clocks back into gear. Great achievement to keep the fillers to a minimum when he's so busy and having such a quick turnaround in albums. A first number 1 double and a first two weeks at number 1 for him. Well done lad, hats off. Edited November 28, 201213 yr by BuzzLightyear
November 28, 201213 yr I Hope Alicia Keys is at no 5. Her last album did very well. I think Alicia is probably an "Anastacia" type act where she doesn't have a large core fanbase, and the success of the album depends on the success of the singles. is alicia promoting the album on the TV?
November 28, 201213 yr anyways, i guess Alicia´s album will have legs...the most surprising underperforming album so far is Robbie´s! is it still at the top ten! really, he used to be in the top 3 during the christmas market for weeks!!!! I hope his next single helps him to sell the album
November 28, 201213 yr Robbie should be supporting Olly tbh if we go by recent sales! In all honesty it's probably because Take the crown is rubbish, I don't hear any other big hits on the album so I can't see him selling as much as his profile would allow.

In all honesty it's probably because Take the crown is rubbish, I don't hear any other big hits on the album so I can't see him selling as much as his profile would allow. Hit and album are different things =) Having some hits on board doesn't mean the album is great. Album is great in case if there are own atmosphere, good lyrics, message to audience. If the album has some hits but the others are fillers, well, better to forget about album at all and listen only singles. Of course, it's opinion about all albums, not only about Robbie's. Candy is hit? Yes, it is. But for me it's the worst song on Take The Crown because it spoils the atmosphere of the whole album what has an adult and solid sounding (basically). Into The Silence, Hunting For You, Be A Boy, Not Like The Others.. But unfortunately seems Robbie (or his management) won't to release really good songs and trying to give a hit to audience. That's sad. Different is good one though but not so strong as titles above. So Take The Crown isn't rubbish. It hasn't big hits (the same was with Intensive Care) but it's really decent album. :)

May have to give it a listen. I love Robbie's last album. He really is a very good lyricist. As for Robbie supporting Olly what a joke. Olly may be popular at the moment with huge airplay and promo but let's wait and see how he manages to sell when he's no longer flavour of the month. I'm not a huge Robbie fan but respect his longevity in the business.
November 28, 201213 yr Different and Be A Boy are the highlights imo. Right single choices should help the album selling through December-January and then are the BRITs where he'll probably (hopefully) perform.
November 28, 201213 yr Bruno has taken the number 1 spot on itunes, i like the song but want Olly Murs to do the double.
November 28, 201213 yr Bruno has taken the number 1 spot on itunes, i like the song but want Olly Murs to do the double. Olly has another version at 20 which is 21% so he still ahead of Bruno.
November 28, 201213 yr Such a pity Kelly didn't get an X Factor performance in for the hits album. She is on Sony after all!!

I'm not a huge Robbie fan but respect his longevity in the business. Flavour of the month? Ahahahhahahaha. Three big selling albums in a row, he has a dedicated fanbase who always buy his singles, and tickets for two arena tours, that is consistency. It's no coincidence that half the press conference for the tour was dedicated to Olly and he was unveiled as a big surprise. How many support acts are unveiled in that way? It's almost like Robbie needs him to sell out the stadiums. LMFAO at you using his brilliant airplay as a bad thing. Of course in terms of longevity and status and sales at the height of their fame Robbie beats Olly hands down but we are in the present and Olly is outselling Robbie.
