-Adam Lambert - Cuckoo & Trespassing

Adam Lambert managed to release one of the most exciting pop albums of 2012, yet he didn't promote it anywhere: the result an undeserved flop, songs like 'Cuckoo' and 'Trespassing' are absolute classic pop songs sounding like Queen meets the Scissor Sisters....

-Little Boots - Every Night I Say A prayer

She released this gorgeous 80's tribute infectious pop song , yet no one noticed except some of her loyal gay fans.

-Kylie Minogue- Flower

One of the most touching songs she has ever released, and if she had released it pre-digital-ageism age then it could've been a top 10 hit for her for sure... shame it flopped miserably...

-Nelly Furtado - Waiting For the night.

Nelly Furtado surprisingly decided NOT to release the most instant hit on her hugely underrated album 'Spirit Indestructible' which is 'Waiting for the night' but decided to go for the tuneless 'Big hoops' which sounds like a Rihanna leftover from 2007....

-Madonna - Love Spent

One of the highlights on her underrated album MDNA is 'Love Spent' which is one of the best songs she has recorded over the past 10 years....

-Lifehouse ftr Natasha Bedingfield - Between the raindrops

A classic that never was, & it wasn't released in the UK and flopped in the US.

-The Beat Goes On - Alphabeat

They were popular once in the UK, but then disappeared but remained semi-popular in Scandinavia...

This 80's throwback is as camp as they get but deserved to be big!!!

-Alexandra Burke - Tonight

Outstanding vocals, infectious dance beats, a very catchy chorus, this song had number 1 written all over it, but Alexandra's feud with Syco led to her amazing album being ditched down the bargain bins with the rest of her music career. Such a shame.

-Bananarama - Now or Never

This should've been Girls Aloud's comeback single, not the annoying 'Something new'. Pure pop genius...

-No Doubt - Settle Down

The flop of this catchy ska classic is another proof of the growing ageism in the worldwide music industry digital era..

- Noisettes - Want You back

This genius pop song sounds like Duffy gone electro but in a great way!!! Enjoy....

-Garbage - Blood for poppies

Travelled all the way fom Beirut, Lebanon to Manchester to watch them perfom live, and it was well worth it...

this is one of the highlights of their comeback album 'Not your kind of people' which unfortunatly was only fan-bought....

-Amanda Jenssen - Volcano Swing

Rolling in the deep 2.0

Adele, take some notes.....

Delta Goodrem in general - if her label actually gave any of her singles from the new album a push here, she could've at least returned to the top 40, possibly even higher, depending on radio support.

I think it's safe to say if it was by someone who hadn't pissed off the majority of the industry 'Bassline' could've been absolutely massive.

"Ageist digital industry" is basically the fact that downloading compromises the ability of fanbases to get established acts into the charts with any old tat. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Mad catchy and featured on an advert, such a shame this didn't take off.

What about Benjamin Francis Leftwich's Pictures?

The most undeserved flop of 2012? I think so! :(

Radio 1 have supported Wolfgang Gartner in the past, so I was hoping that this would get him supported again and get Wolfy in the Top 40... but no they didn't even give it a single release. Wolfgang is too good to not have a T40.

Ellie Goulding's 'Lights' really blew up in the US this year, and thanks to that I started listening and loving the song whereas before I took no notice of it. They should've given it a re-release so that by the time Anything Could Happen was ready to promote then Ellie would really be in the public eye. Oh well, ACH was a massive hit anyway but Lights is amazing.

Was disappointed to see this never take off more than like low top 200 on iTunes (IIRC). Gorgeous song.

Wolfgang is too good to not have a T40.

He was so close (#43) with 'Forever' :(

My god, we could be here all night...

I'll probably think of more eventually

deserved to have a massive hit with 'Free'. Such a great anthem and had good support from Radio 1 & Kerrang!

Definitely agree with Flower and Settle Down! Flower is very touching, especially when you consider the time it was written, and Settle Down is SO catchy! Same with Looking Hot, that was catchy AND had a brilliant X Factor performance, but was so far off the Top 200!

Someone's mentioned her already but I think both 110% and Wildest Moments could have been really big hits for Jessie Ware with the right amount of exposure.

Laura should have been huge for Bat For Lashes too, it's absolutely stunning. I think that it could have had a Video Games sort of success as the songs are quite alike and would appeal to the same types of people.

This is one of my favourite Lemar singles, but it only charted at #158.

Big Mistake, I agree about Trespassing being a great album but those songs you mentioned are not the best ones on it. Chokehold and Outlaws of Love for example are brilliant.
-Little Boots - Every Night I Say A prayer

She released this geogeous 80's tribute infectious pop song , yet no one noticed except some of her loyal gay fans.

Umi AGOG. :o

Nothing but this comes to mind...

Massive hit EVERYWHERE in Europe! Number 1 for something like 7627 weeks in most countries! We would have lapped this up, just as much as we lapped up 'Gangnam Style'/'We No Speak Americano'/'Bom Bom' etc.. We even had a UK-friendly remix. But NO AIRPLAY, PROMOTION OR ANYTHING. Limps into the top 75 here... I would like to say it's just waiting to blow up here and that it will happen next year sometime. But it's time has definitely passed and it most certainly won't happen. :drama:

Such a shame. :(

And to think, you was one of my "favourite "rising star of buzzjack"" :o

I think we're over now. Soz. :drama:
