Nah. This year's a good a time as any for the Hillsborough disaster charities. They had a MAJOR breakthrough this year and it's a great way to top off the end of the year for them.

But anyway, woo for 'Scream & Shout' holding up nicely at #3

Christmas charts have gone from one of the most exciting charts of the year to the most boring. I honestly do not care. I used to loved it but now it's my few weeks of the year where I feel I can take a break from the charts and come back when the (non) fuss has died down.

I kind of feel the same. I don't really care what's #1. If there was a song I really liked I would, but the two contenders just don't interest me. Although at the same time, I'm not having a melt-down because a song is benefitting from being for charity. I know I have my fair share of chart-related meltdowns, but that's one thing that I really never care about tbh

Kworb update:

1- James Arthur- 1.0000

2- Justice Collective- 0.8438

3- Will.i.am/ Britney 0.4375

4- Rihanna- 0.2500

5- Bruno Mars- 0.2188

'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' being released a day late must be one of the stupidest decisions ever.

42. 12 Days of Christmas - Eddie Stobarts Truckers  Another charity single?

EDIT: Yup, for Help for Heroes. Great. Charity single overload in the top 100 right now. James at #1, The Justice Collective at #2, Eddie Stobarts Truckers at #42, Girls Aloud at #44, Band Aid at #48 (if that counts), 'Minecraft Christmas' at #55, Katherine Crowe at #70, The Games Maker Choir at #87. :drama: Alex Day's may be a charity single too but I think he said he was going to donate to charity if he got to #1 on iTunes, oops.

EDIT2: Eddie Stobarts Truckers  #39, shock top 40 hit?

They said it was stupid, I don't think so, I don't think so :D

I'm sure TJC will be sold a lot of physical singles and there was report two weeks ago pre-order of physical copies was great (about 100k) so it doesn't matter when digital single was released.

Haven't been on here for ages :o

So happy that James is still there at number 1 :)

Welcome back to the rat race, but the rats have got bigger. :o :P

Even the men from the Doritos advert are at it

The Christmas chart is the weirdest chart of the year for sure

Alex Day only at #24?

I hope you're taking note Alex.

I don't like the song but you have to hand it to Alex and his fans - He's well on his way to scoring his 3rd hit single.

Are they really hits though? If the same people buy 5 copies and it isn't purchased outside of 1 week and by anyone else bar his fanbase then really the term 'hit' is pushing it.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE £1 POUND FISH IS THANKS

[and EP at #58]

Was expecting it to be quite a bit higher!

The same could be said for 1000s of acts over the years though that only have their fanbase buy a track - Does that mean none of those songs are hits? I just think it's quite impressive that Alex is looking at scoring a 3rd charting single - The first was just pure novelty factor but the fact he has managed 2 more means he has a strong fanbase and yes they might be multi buying but that can be seen week in and week out on this forum as many people multi buy the same singles and albums by their favourite artists.

Looks like James Arthur will get a second week at number one :o, didin't really think he had a chance of being Christmas number one! I must admit I'm really fond of the song and just downloaded it.

07. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (Hopefully this manages to go top 10 this week)

18. One Direction - Kiss You

24. Alex Day - Stupid Stupid

51. £1 Fish Man - One Pound Fish

62. David Guetta Feat Taped Rai - Just One Last Time
