It's the same for me as well, i joined this website in February last year only for the UK chart discussion and midweeks info although now i do post in some other forums but not in the lounge.

In the lounge around Christmas time they did the 2012 Buzzjack Awards and almost everyone probably barring 2 or 3 people voted me as "the poster who represents the worst of buzzjack" and "the biggest waste of sperm" with the intention of trying to hurt my feelings but in the end i just laughed it off because it was so pathetic.

That's terrible, especially on a forum that at a large part comprises of grown up people. This should not be allowed even when it's "just for fun".

Bingo Players making progress :D

really hope that Bingo Players will flop, that song is so poor, I liked their previous singles but this is their weakest, Amelia FTW!

25. Animal - Connor Maynard

39 - Shut Up (And forget about it) - Amelia Lily

It wasn't GA though. It was far too generic for them...

Surely Girls Aloud were the Queens of the generic?

That is especially irritating, especially when you think you've made a positive contribution - believe me, I know!

Some people seem to be throwing around the word generic and not understanding what it means.

To be calling Girls Aloud the queens of generic, I mean really?

This is the pop group who gave us edgy tracks such as Sexy! No No No..., Something Kinda Ooooh, Sound Of The Underground and Wake Me Up. Hardly generic ;)

Wow, Scream & Shout has built up a massive 30% lead over #2 now. I guess it will begging to fall again tomorrow, then have a massive boost on Friday, so possible #1 again next week?!

Um, yes.

A decent, very successful girl group but in truth all of their records could have been done by a dozen more different groups before or since. Nothing earth shatteringly original.

Not that there's anything too much wrong with sticking to your strengths, I enjoy listening to a bit of Girls Aloud from time to time (and give be a generic Girls Aloud over something original by say Dizzee Rascal every time), but they are what they are.

Why doesn't he post anymore? I used to really like him, he always made me laugh.

Alls I know is the minute Matthewfirth disappeared, KOBBAR rose again from his ashes. Something I'd predicted earlier. I begin to believe they are one and the same and so Matthewfirth and his over the top interest in the chart was probably nothing more than a troll and deserves no sympathy.

Bingo Players still doing pretty averagely thus far. Hm. Still plenty of time, can never forget about Nero etc. :P

Amelia Lily to shock a forum and claim the highest debut of the week? I was/am a big fan of Lily when she was on X-Factor and "You Bring Me Joy" was a fantastic single to start a career with. "Shut Up" not as good, in my opinion; the production is a bit heavy in places and I find myself unable to hear the vocals.

Assuming "Scream & Shout" held their place at number-one this week, I'd much rather it get a third week at #1 than a new entry; especially given both Lily and Bingo Players are likely to peak and then fall relatively quickly out of the top 40.

Rattle may not get #1, but I'm sure it'll debut higher than Amelia. She's only so high because she doesn't have an EP - Bingo Players have one at #2 and Conor at #6.

I wouldn't mind S&S getting a 3rd week at #1, hopefully this is a sign for 2013 not having such a large weekly turnover (2012 had 36 #1s - a record for the decade!)

It seems Indian Summer by Stereophonics is also out today. Won't do a thing, much like In A Moment, even though it is amazing

Bingo Players still got a good chance of going top 10 - soon caught up to Amelia Lily. I still predict both will be no. 1 and 2 by the end of today. If they aren't then we're looking at another poor week for sales. I would've thought both BP and AL would sell at least 60k each ('Scream & Shout' will have sold about 60k this week so can't see its sales increasing that much over the next 7 days).

As for Conor Maynard, 'Animal' has actually grown on me but the Wiley version really is pointless. No wonder it's still quite low despite being 59p.

People tease a lot on here sometimes. I remember once when people were making fun of someone, someone said that they didn't like the way he was being treated, and I posted to say I agree, and then a mod, yes a MODERATOR said "Don't jump on the bandwagon" or something like that. That says it all really.

I never visit certain parts of this forum, because I don't like the attitude of certain people, and I know I'd never talk or get along with 90% of the people on here in real life, I'm just here for the chart discussion.

The chart mods really aren't against you or any other person on this forum, what they are against is the type of posts that the likes of MatthewFirth and (as much as it pains me to say it) Kobbar made. Both often posted with an intention of winding people up and causing threads to completely veer off of their subject. Whilst I'd have no problem with that in the Lounge, the chart forum is here as a resource for many people who want information about and to discuss the UK charts - the type of people it attracts are not those that particularly want to wade through pages of silly arguments to find the latest information and that is how the mods of this section try to keep it.

I don't know what specific moment you are referring to in your post but they inevitably will not get it correct 100% of the time and, should you really feel that one of them has got something very wrong, you or anyone else are welcome to contact one of the gmods/admin to put your point across. What I am confident of is that they do try their hardest to keep this section running as smoothly as possible whilst ensuring that it remains packed full of useful information for our forum members.

What I would kindly ask is that neither they nor you make needless references to eachother such as the one in your post - the mods are just as easy a target as the likes of Kobbar but for different reasons and your post is just as good an example of someone attacking a group of people on this site completely unprovoked as the ones you are trying to make reference to. For the record, we wouldn't tolerate the mods making needless references to you either so this is not a biased comment - you are welcome to contact one of us if you feel that they do this. What I would ideally like is for this part of the forum to just get along! Everyone seems to want the same thing out of this part of Buzzjack so I really can never understand why it degenerates into personal attacks as often as it seems to.

Whilst I may actually agree that the need to label someone in such a manner is needless on this forum and perhaps should be reviewed, I do think you're twisting the truth here somewhat. I remember you being very vocal at the time about how the nominations didn't bother you in the slightest and you raised your profile in the lounge significantly around that time in a manner that was akin to the way that X-Factor finalists go on a publicity tour the week before the big event! You are a chart forum specialist, you of all people should have realised that people are more likely to vote for what is pushed under their noses! :D

Not at all. 'Biology', 'Sexy No, No, No', 'Sound of the Underground', 'Something Kinda Ooooh', 'Call the Shots' and 'Loving Kind et al, were all very, very fresh for the pop scene. They made pop interesting with their weird structures, different production throughout the one song, they were pretty brave and bold moves, especially for a pop group and it worked for them. I'd argue that the songs I named are their "signature songs" (but 'The Promise' instead of 'Loving Kind' - which was actually pretty brave of them to do that song too) and there's a reason for that.

But anyway, I didn't mean for this to go off topic, was hoping to keep 'Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)' in with the comparisons, for iTunes thread purposes, but it's veered away from that slightly so I'll stop :P

Anne Hathaway holding nicely at #23! <3 (With Samantha at #41 still :D)

Will.I.Am's second version is at #32 now!

#153 for Ke$ha and 'C'mon' - CLIMB WOMAN :(

Another thing I'd like to point out is that a lot of the posters who are complaining have or had annoying traits at some point.

I've had to learn the hard way that posters who criticise others have got a point most of the time. :(

(sorry for going off topic, COME ON CONOR MAYNARD)
