January 22, 201313 yr Where do I collect my money from? :D Grandparents are usually one to give money, perhaps you should ask your nan. :kink:
January 22, 201313 yr Amelia actually top 10? :o It's quite clearly not gonna stay there for Sunday but hopefully that means she won't drop lower than #12 officially. If she stays around #11/12 then she shouldn't. That said she could always rise into the top 10 and stay there...although I think she's dropped a little.
January 23, 201313 yr I would love Amelia Lily and Lawson to go top 10 but it is looking highly unlikely now. Lawson are ok though as they sold quiet well last week so combined with this week their sales are ok and their album has rebounded very well, in overall terms the top 10 would be more crucial for Amelia than Lawson right now.
January 23, 201313 yr Another midweek tweet - So it looks like the Top 5 albums are - #1 Les Mis #2 Emeli Sande #3 Adam Ant #4 Mallory Knox #5 I Am Kloot Nice to see 3 new albums in the Top 5 even though sales are low I Am Kloot are number 5 in the midweeks - make sure you buy a copy so we can keep it there - smarturl.it/IAmKlootLetItA…
January 23, 201313 yr The Blackout also Top 10 with their new album - Festival headliners @TheBlackout are #9 in the midweek chart! Lets have another UK act band get a top 10! iTunes: itunes.apple.com/gb/album/start…
January 23, 201313 yr Author Thanks for all the tweets, I reckon album sales are going to be pretty low for new album releases, until HMV get back into the swings of things. Full charts after 4pm.
January 23, 201313 yr Fascinating to see Adam Ant in the Top 3! Could well slip out the Top 10 by Sunday though, I remember Paul Buchanan being quite high on the Monday midweeks, but ended up at #16 officially Looks like I Am Kloot should safely outpeak their last album, as expected. Curious to see if Joy Formidable make the Top 40, think they'll struggle tbh, probably won't outpeak The Big Roar anyway (haven't really seen much hype around them this era)
January 23, 201313 yr With not many big name albums coming in the near future i can see Emeli Sande sticking in the top 10 for a while yet I think Emeli and Ed Sheeran are now in a strong position to both becoming 2 million and over selling albums.
January 23, 201313 yr Author Midweek Charts: Les Miserables continues to dominate Source: MW by Paul Willams Les Miserables is set to continue to lead the UK artist albums chart this weekend as I Am Kloot head for a new peak. The Polydor-issued motion picture cast recording is presently outselling its three nearest rivals combined, according to the Official Charts Company, mounting a 181% sales lead over closest challenger Our Version Of Events by Virgin's Emeli Sande. At present the top four sellers are in exactly the same order as they were last Sunday with Les Miserables at 1, Sande at 2, Jake Bugg's self-titled Mercury album at 3 and Columbia act Calvin Harris's 18 Months at 4. Just below them I Am Kloot are on course for a new career chart peak with the album Let It All In on their Shepherd Moon label presently registering as a new entry at 5. Their current highest position on the countdown is 24, achieved by last album Sky At Night in 2010. Joining I Am Kloot in the Top 10 at present is Adam Ant whose last studio album Wonderful reached 24 in 1995. His new set Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Guner's Daughter, released on the Blueblack Hussar label, is new at 9 at this stage of the week. Def Jam/Mercury's Rihanna holds at 6 with Unapologetic and Bruno Mars' Atlantic album Unorthodox Jukebox climbs 10-7, while Asylum/Atlantic's Ed Sheeran falls 8-9 with + and Syco's One Direction gain a place to 10 with Take Me Home. There are four brand new albums between positions 11 and 20 in the latest midweeks, led by Welsh band Blackout's new Cooking Vinyl set Start The Party at 12. Five-piece Mallory Knox's Signals, issued on the A Wolf At Your Door label, is new at 15, while another Welsh act - Canvasback/Atlantic's Joy Formidable - are at 16 with Wolf's Law. Decca-signed Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi's new studio set In A Time Lapse makes a first appearance at 18. Following his performance on Graham Norton's BBC One chat show last Friday Parlophone's Conor Maynard sees sales of his debut album rise 75% on the week to move it 86-67 on the midweeks. More spectacularly, his single Animal featuring Wiley is up 34-4 with sales quadrupling. It is poised to become his fourth UK Top 10 single. Also gaining because of a high-profile TV appearance are Madness whose Cooking Vinyl album Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da is up 76-22 following them chatting and performing on Jonathan Ross's ITV1 programme. Dutch dance duo Bingo Players are heading for No 1 on the singles chart this Sunday with the Ministry of Sound release Get Up (Rattle) around 14,500 sales in front. At 2 is the Interscope/Polydor-issued Scream & Shout by will.i.am featuring Britney Spears, having secured a second week at 1 last weekend, while Mercury's Taylor Swift gains a place to 3 with I Knew You Were Trouble. Rihanna's Def Jam/Mercury track Stay featuring Mikky Ekko holds at 5 as the Columbia pairing of Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah with Drinking From The Bottle continue at 6. Having debuted at 2 last Sunday, the Interscope/Polydor release My Life by 50 Cent, Eminem and Adam Levine falls to 7 in the week so far, while Syco act James Arthur's Impossible is down 7-8, Xenomania/RCA signing Amelia Lilly's second single Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) is new at 9 and VIrgin's Emeli Sande climbs 11-10 with Clown. Meanwhile, having debuted at 3 last Sunday Justin Timberlake's brand new RCA single Suit & Tie with Jay-Z already looks like heading out of the Top 10 as it drops to 11 on the midweeks with a 56% sales fall. Thank you all so much to everyone who has bought Signals and helped make this happen! If we can keep Top 40 by Sunday it would be amazing! If you're going to buy Signals please make... it this week, it would do so much for our band! Keep spreading the word!!!!

Just spotted the same on Twitter however yesterday they tweeted for fans to go and buy their album to help keep them in the Top 5 - Looks like they was given the wrong info yesterday or sales data was missing.
January 23, 201313 yr Curious to see if Joy Formidable make the Top 40, think they'll struggle tbh, probably won't outpeak The Big Roar anyway (haven't really seen much hype around them this era) I'm not surprised to be honest, the singles this era have been very poor when compared with the ones from The Big Roar. A shame because they showed huge promise with that album. :(
January 23, 201313 yr Just spotted the same on Twitter however yesterday they tweeted for fans to go and buy their album to help keep them in the Top 5 - Looks like they was given the wrong info yesterday or sales data was missing. They might mean on iTunes? They were top 5 there for a while, now down to #8 though (and Ludovico Einaudi has overtaken them to have the highest new entry). Adam Ant #8 on the OCC website - either that was false info yesterday or this album is EXTREMELY frontloaded. Highest new entry to be I Am Kloot then. Nice to see The Joy Formidable as high as #16, but surprising that Ludovico is only #18 since he's top 5 on iTunes and he doesn't really strike me as the kind that'd slay on downloads but flop on physicals  Edited January 23, 201313 yr by Bré
January 23, 201313 yr Mackelmore and Thrift not top 40 yet? They seem to have been there since sunday in the low 30s and now are moving fast - should be there on sunday though! First big selling first weeker of 2013 this week - Bingo Players should do over 90k imo!
January 23, 201313 yr Mackelmore and Thrift not top 40 yet? They seem to have been there since sunday in the low 30s and now are moving fast - should be there on sunday though! Not exactly, it went 57-44-31 early mornings, the last 3 days.
January 23, 201313 yr Bloody hell at Conor Maynard's Animal jump! :o I wasn't expecting Top 5! Not too sure on Ellie Goulding's Explosions just yet, but I think it may grow on me. Looks like only one new entry for the Top 10 this week - I Am Koot at #8-10 probably. Nice to see Madness back in; I really enjoyed the track they performed on JR. Two albums with the same name at #1 and #40! *.*
