I do actually find it strange that both 'Stay' and 'Clown' were performed on the X Factor final and yet 'Stay' entered at #4 whereas 'Clown' only managed #35, and yet now 'Clown' has come up to overtake it. I wonder what was more slow burning about 'Clown' for people than 'Stay'..

The fact it's Rihanna?? :P

Really? Can't say I've ever heard it out. "Rattle" on the other hand I was hearing very frequently as early as September.

Yeah, I used to hear Rattle last summer even. I hear Au Seve on almost every night out (and have done for months). I assume that's part of the reason why it's been hovering around on iTunes for so long.

This just reminded me though. Does anybody remember Uniting Nations? I heard one of their songs the other day and it sounds so much like This is Love! :o But I tried to look for it on Youtube and I can't find it anywhere. :( I was surprised, since the two songs are so blatantly similar as well.

That's pretty weird. I was surprised Clown didn't do better at first. Maybe people mistook it for one of Emeli's songs they already had. :lol:

Yep they re-covered Teenage Dream this episode of Glee, but this time acoustically :)

In other words:

Oh okay. :lol: They'll probably be combined for the chart I imagine (not that it'll chart high anyway).

Come to think of it, they did two versions of Don't Stop Believin', and there was another song which had a male and female version, I forgot what it was now (I think Defying Gravity?).

Defying Gravity and I think Don't Cry For Me Argentina as well :3 (although that didn't do anything chart-wise xP)

I've been thinking the same about Labrinth and Beneath Your Beautiful. They should release something else from his album imo.

'Explosions' :up: to #15 :D Could this potentially go top 10 (Ellie's first post-album single to do so) if it keeps getting boosts from high-profile ad slots? :o

Quite pleased at 'Suit & Tie' not absolutely plummeting after leaving the top 10, still at #13 even with the weekend effect and whatnot.

Devlin looking like only scraping the top 20 or possibly missing out entirely (currently #23)! I didn't think it'd do that well but it's doing even worse than I expected.

Its just incredible how well clown is doing considering how big the album has sold, i think her album will eventually become a 2 million + seller. I hope it is the final single from the album as i think the album has been milked enough, the only thing she might do is promote abide with me as that didnt make the top 40 for her, no doubt if promoted it would chart much better.

Nothing major out this week, i hope Ellie Goulding continues to climb, a top 10 hit would be great.

If 'Runaway' could just about go top 15, then 'Rewind' deserves to miss the top 20. It's rubbish. Diane Birch's voice is painful.
