Heaven >>>> Next To Me >>>> Clown >>>> Read All About It Part III > My Kind Of Love >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Daddy

I should technically love Daddy when I loved Heaven but the melody's nowhere near as strong. I prefer Beneath Your Beautiful to all of these.

"Clown" is by no means Sande's best, but she'd be a fool not to perform it at the BRITs. Saying that, people tend to perform a 'hit' from the previous year; rather than perform their current single - so we could easily get "Next to Me" or the hopefully-not-"Read All About It, Pt. III".
"Heaven" is about the only Emeli track that I actually like, the rest range between the categories of average and dull, uninspiring. Nothing I hate, but certainly very bland overall.
No.86 Marina and The Diamonds - How To Be A Heartbreaker. I think that it will end up in the Top 75 next week. Marina deserves so much and her management was a mess especially for this single.
completely agree about marina, a completely wasted opportunity. lets just hope it can build itself to get into the top 40

it's quite sad that Marina's How to Be a Heartbreaker wil NOT be her first 10 hit, it's by far her catchiest most instant song ever , ( not mentioning the sexy video with loads of hot guys )...

but as many Buzzjackers said it's been held back too long without promotion therefore she couldn't create interest outside her fanbase....

I like Heaven, I liked Next To Me at first, but it got far too overplayed, everything else she's done all merges into one and I don't even remember how Daddy goes. I can appreciate her as a singer/songwriter, but its just not my thing.

Although we seem to be forgetting Wonder, which I really like, if mainly because of Naughty Boy's production.

This exactly (except there is one song of hers I hate, namely 'Daddy').

'Heaven' is incredible and probably one of my favourite songs of 2011 in retrospect. The next three are just dull, 'Clown' is even duller (absolutely no redeeming features at all) and 'Daddy' is irredeemably shite.

-x-

Shocked at 'White Noise' overtaking 'Get Up (Rattle)' - perhaps it actually will hold up and go top 5 this week :o Still won't hold my breath though!

When I first heard Heaven I thought it was amazing, love it, and it is for me her best single to date. Thing is OVOE is mainly slow ballads, and i guess next to Heaven are a bit boring, but they are nice songs. She sounds great on the slow ballads, Clown, Read All About It, My Kind of Love etc. Overall she's had a great era, and she deserves it as I do love the album. For me though, she has created a nice album, but nothing groundbreaking or material that will live on for years, like Adele's 21.

Why is it always Emeli Sande who goes so high up the iTunes chart after T.V programmes? it's fukin boring having her songs always high in the chart.

Now her album is in the top 2 for the 1000th time as well

Completely agree with everyone on Heaven being the better of those singles. Everything else is just so filler.
Everybody needs to stop being mean to Emeli. If she stopped performing on TV, there'd be no reason to watch TV anymore so the viewing figures would collapse, which would mean companies would stop paying for advert slots, which would mean TV channels would start losing money and eventually be forced to shut down.

I don't think people are complaining that she is getting the promotional slots, she does too many, yes but which artist wouldn't if they got the chance to? It's just the stuff she's promoting is so DULL. I'm glad it's happening on here because it's not fair for her to get away with these sort of tracks and the likes of Jason Mraz, Christina Perri and Bruno Mars et al, get called all the names under the sun for similar sort of "dull" stuff. IMO though, she takes dull to a whole new level. Zzzzzzzzz.

How many people watch the superbowl here? Hopefully Beyoncé gets some kind of general boost :w00t:

Surprised we didn't get our first listen of the new single

Hopefully Kelly Rowland's iconic 40 seconds cause everyone to forget about Bey and 'Ice' goes to #1.

I'm sure she'll get a boost. Now:

144. Say My Name (btw, there's a remix of this song which seems to be popular at the moment, I keep hearing it in random places everywhere)

167. Bootylicious

317. Halo

412. Single Ladies

421. Love on Top

489. Crazy in Love

534. If I Were a Boy

547. Best Thing I Never Had

574. Irreplaceable

704. Run the World

723. Survivor

910. End of Time

951. Lose My Breath

1050. Soldier :yahoo:

1122. Baby Boy

1128. Countdown

1322. Listen

1270. Sweet Dreams

1359. Independent Women, Part I

1385. 03' Bonnie & Clyde

It's a shame that Video Phone and Diva aren't in the top 1500 though. :( IASF is such an incredible album. Was also hoping to see Naughty Girl, Check On It and Deja Vu in there.

Does anybody remember Destiny's Child's song, Girl? I loved it, although I really shouldn't have.

lol. Ice probably will never touch the top 1500 on iTunes. Kelly's new song, Kisses Down Low is PHENOMENAL though. Like seriously amazing. But she's never going to get another hit as big as Motivation. :(
