How exactly else do you expect them to make a radio edit? :P

'Trees' isn't censored on the R1 edit at least.

I'd rather they just played the swearing but I know it's never going to happen.

lol. Jay-Z has already announced his next single. It's Tom Ford (unsurprisingly).

Oh it pisses me off so much when they say that, 'this is BRAND NEW from ____' and they play a song that's been around for months.

They called Counting Stars "BRAND NEW" this morning. :kink:
My worst Capital pet hate is when they play the same song EVERY hour. The other night they played Talk Dirty between 8 and 9, then again between 9 and 10, then again between 10 and 11  seriously, why is there any need for that when THERE'S A WHOLE PLAYLIST OF SONGS TO CHOOSE FROM???

QUEEN LORDE HAS COLONISED CAPITAL FM

(Fab to see Chase & Status on there too!)

I might come to Capital HQ and hold them at gunpoint until they hammer Work Bitch like it is a new Jessie J song.

They tweeted about Britney's video earlier today, so I was hoping they would playlist it already. Maybe next week...

I didn't realise C&S weren't overly supported by capital?! Yet they always go top 10!!

Is it just me or is capital getting more contemporary - the oldest song is Armin Van Buuren!!

Well they've only had 4 top 10 hits :P Although I suppose that's out of 5 pre-album singles ignoring their first album ('Let You Go' JUST missed out as well). They're incredibly successful especially in the albums chart for the kind of act they are but I wish their singles would show a bit more longevity in the top 40, they're still yet to have more than six weeks in the top 40 with any one song and I can't see 'Count On Me' changing that despite looking likely to go top 5 this week. The song kind of reminds me of Redlight's 2 chart hits and I wouldn't be surprised to see 'Count On Me' going similarly to 'Lost In Your Love' (but I bloody hope I'm wrong).

I bloody hope you are too :P

Yeah its as if they havent really got much of a fanbase but the fact capital doesnt support them prob doesnt help their longevity for the singles. Maybe makes them mnore indie though because capital dont play them like the do with Calvin Harris. Cant wait for the album myself, its this Monday isnt it|?

I'm sure a few weeks ago I heard 'heres brand new Naughty Boy' and then they played Wonder!

But seriously... there playlist is a joke.

Oh it pisses me off so much when they say that, 'this is BRAND NEW from ____' and they play a song that's been around for months.

I hate that so much!!

And they also say, 'I think it's better than ...', 'best thing they've ever done' (in regards to that pap new Sats' song!!)

I only ever hear Same Love after 2am. Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.

I feel like because of the way chart music has headed the past 12 months that Capital FM is becoming more similar to Choice FM. There used to be hardly any songs that they both played, but now there's loads.

I don't think they'll play Get Like Me. It's too minimal.

They should really just have Choice FM broadcast over the entire country so that they don't have to worry about those types of chart hits.

I read that Choice FM and Capital FM actually ARE going to get merged and put all over the country!!! :o :o I really hope this is true. Anybody else heard about this? Maybe finally I can get a good replacement to Galaxy. :)

I just went to search for the Choice FM Playlist to see what was on there and it diverted me straight to the homepage of "Capital Xtra", saying that it's coming tomorrow?! And that it's the first national urban dance music station ~Radio 1Xtra name rip-off~. However I listened to the preview of the tracks you'll hear and Le Youth was in there :D
