Yeah I always thought finals were sorted by most voters too, I can't remember it changing as Numayania beat FSR Rontvia on most voters last contest I think? Not a big deal though like you say! February 21, 201312 yr 7 12s and 2 10s for 'Alive' - if the latter 2 were both just that slight notch higher it would have matched the all-time record for most 12s. Quite shocking it didn't win given that, it doesn't exactly strike me as a massively polarising song. And Kate Boy only got one 12! That must be a first where the overall winner is only one person's 'personal winner' (well, probably not as it's had 50 opportunities to happen before).

February 21, 201312 yr WOW! I genuinely didn't see that one coming! 'Cameron' winning a 5th place is perfect! I've never been 5th before and in such a powerful contest such as this one I'm absolutely thrilled and relieved :wub: Thank you to everyone who voted for Greenfroze and Jillette and I'm glad many of you made a discovery out of her song! Most of my entries are quite unknown and that may not have worked as good most of the times, but it was oh so worth it right now. I'll keep on as ever, then! :wub: And despite me LOVING the quality of this contest, I'm not that fond of the overall results; most of my favorites are in the bottom half of the scoreboard *sigh* But at least they made the final and most people enjoyed the contest a lot! :D At least Greenfroze made it into the top5. #silverlinings One more thing! I've noticed all of your comments regarding how you feel about 'Cameron'. I appreciate and I'm glad that you've taken to it as much as you have! February 21, 201312 yr As for me, I always like to find new music and can spend hours searching through lots of music blogs for them. I actually discovered Samantha Jade's song before a topic was posted here and loved it, hence why I sent it! Although it is cheap but next contest I shall return back to my roots. Oh and K-Pop is a bit of a hit and miss in terms of appeal, plus it being dry lately doesn't look too bright for me in future BJSC contests. :(You have no hope now, after 'Step' failed to take the BJSC world by STORM! :drama: just kidding. luvyareally [/stillbitter]

Hmmm I wonder if it's against the rules to go really retro and enter really ancient stuff that could easily have been a 70's eurovision entrant... :)

It's about letting people's big favourites qualify over filler songs that accumulate lots of small marks and potentially nothing in the final. Something like that.
