To be fair, most of Dido's airplay at the moment probably comes from adult contemporary stations like Radio 2, which usually doesn't have much of an impact on the singles chart, more the album chart.

That wasn't the case for Jealousy by Will Young. It helped him in the singles and album chart.

I'm a HUGE BOWIE fan but I'm hoping he doesn't help 1D of beating Jt this week... if he lose his expose for 1-3 days from the top this could be not good for him. It will be close this week... Mirrors is HUGE already without VIDEO or RADIO.

Will Young got played on stations like Heart FM as well. I definitely heard the song on there (and being Heart FM, if they played it once, it means they played it hundreds of times ).

Im sure Justin Timberlake will hold up well all week, id be actually happy to see this go officially number 1.
It's a shame he'll probably be officially number 3, despite being number 1 on iTunes (most of the week). I just can't see him overtaking 1D & Bastille (STILL number 1 on the albums chart). I think he might even have to settle for number 4 behind 'Thrift Shop' :drama: It's happened before (someone was number 1 on iTunes for a few days but lost out and ended up at #3 or something I think! (Thanks to a charity song and something else, again) (IIRC).

I would very much like to be proven wrong though! He needs to hurry and get the Radio Edit out there! So gutted we won't be able to download his BRITs performance. :(

Not to mention 'Jealousy' was simply much more chart-friendly than the utterly hookless (if vaguely pleasant) 'No Freedom'.

You speak sense Eric. :D I hate how a #10 single is a hit yet a #11 single is a flop/underperformance in some people's eyes. Someone claimed on DS that 'Change Your Life' has really underperformed. The thing is, some are too ignorant to realise that it was a post-album single and therefore had less chance of breaking into the top 10. I bet if it peaked three places higher at #9, it'd be called a success.

Yeah I didn't really understand why Little Mix fans cared so much about 'Change Your Life' going top 10. If it were a pre-album single then missing top 10 would have been a disaster but a post-album X Factor single getting as high as #12 is surprising, honestly. It'd be nice if it went top 10 but I don't know why it's SUCH a big deal.

Oh, i see our BEST FRIEND Alex Day is releasing an Album on the 17th March. 20 Tracks for £3.49

Currently #126 on iTunes Pre-Order! SMASH.

Haha, will be interesting to see how he does. Obviously he has a sizable fanbase but how many of those fans are checking for an entire album of his? Probably a 40-1578 chart run.

This has been really frustrating.

HE still has 40+% over them... and it's only the ITUNEs album chart... I don't think it's strong as the singles..

He is so deserved the number 1 after being almost a week at number 1... (will be)

It really depends how the Bastille EP is selling. Given that it is only 50p more than the single for another track and some remixes I imagine people will be buying that instead of the single (I did)

 3. Pompeii - Bastille

This might be its iTunes peak now but One Direction aren't that far ahead so it could still get to #2. Think this has official #3 wrapped up now anyhow, it will be a Justin/1D top 2 and it looks like the order of that will depend on how strong 1D's second week physicals are as Justin seems to be holding his lead.

Ben Howard still at #9 (and #40, though Taylor has overtaken as the highest BRITs performance) - hopefully on for a second week top 10 then, although David Bowie could knock him out.

Laura back  to #29.

I had my doubts that Bastille would make the Top 10 but I'm so happy to be proven wrong :D
I would be so happy if Mirrors got #1. I think the last time a Timbaland-produced song got to #1 was 4 Minutes by Madonna ()?
