Odd that Maroon 5's "Daylight" isn't really taking off. I certainly preferred it after "Payphone" and when "One More Night" wasn't looking to do anything in the UK. R1 are supporting it, just hoping it can at least get them another T40. Is Olly Murs to blame, after all "Army of Two" sounds like a M5 track.

I really like 'Daylight', I certainly prefered these two singles to 'Payphone' at least. :( Surely 'Troublemaker' is far more reminiscent of Maroon 5 though?

 

It'd be something if Pink could, combined, reach the dizzy heights of #2 and peak there officially this week. Nicole is destined for a #5 smash (thought it since Sunday) and I don't really want Bruno to have yet another long-running #2 so either he needs to make way for Pink or overtake Justin already.

 

Has Pink got any promo lined up?

It's certainly a hell of a lot weaker than their last two singles (God knows what their record label was thinking when they almost went for this as the 2nd single instead of 'One More Night'), but even so, it's weird that it's doing THIS terribly when it's getting quite a lot of airplay and has been 59p'ed on iTunes for a while now. It's not like the album has sold bucketloads to stop singles selling in their own right either.

She's on tour atm (and not coming to the UK for a while yet I don't think).

Bruno officially now falling away from Justin, looking likely that Justin will get a third week at #1 :cheer: That's the best outcome because A) it's the best of the contenders by far and B) it's better for a song that already got #1 on good sales to hang on with low sales than for a song to get to #1 just because of low sales (Bruno/P!nk/Nicole).

Hopefully coming for a new peak this week now it's recovering from the weekend effect. Didn't quite manage a top 100 re-entry last week so it might re-enter at a new peak like 'Mercy' did. 'Mercy' incidentally still at #61 despite R1 dropping it, it'll probably start plummeting soon though.

Yasmin still exists I see, I wonder if we'll ever get an album from her? It's a shame the brilliant 'Finish Line' never really came to anything and she vanished afterwards (although 'Light Up (The World)' was a pretty poor follow-up).

I think Flo Rida does actually have a new song coming soon ft. Future. It's quite different to the songs he usually does though (sounds a bit like Harlem Shake), so I'm not sure if it's actually his next single or just some random song he did.
