A few acts who have debatable legendary status but are well regarded but still haven't hit no.1 include Travis, Dido, Anastacia, 50 Cent, Gwen Stefani (solo) and many others.

Don't worry, he does it all the time. He complains about people attacking him, yet attacks people on a daily basis. Don't worry about it!

I do get that it's annoying on the iTunes thread, but I guess everyone is excited, "It's been a long time coming".

This will be their 12th top 10 single no matter what. Which makes me think Polydor will be expecting a greatest hits soon. I mean they made Girls Aloud do one after 3 albums.

 

If their album The Chase wasn't already announced I'd have expected it this year.

Which is why people shouldn't be taking it all too seriously. There is obviously a hugely dedicated fanbase that is basking in their faves doing well (rightfully so), so just let them get on with it. And if you can't do that JOIN THEM.
