March 20, 201312 yr #7 is a great start in the album chart for Suede. They should almost definitely outpeak "A New Morning", but I really hope they stay in the top 10. I'm really pleased about this! I was imagining #16 or so for this but they should be higher. I'm not sure they'll remain top 10 though... I bought the album, infinitely better than A New Morning!
March 20, 201312 yr Much much better than A New Morning. New album is nice. Edited March 20, 201312 yr by sonia
March 20, 201312 yr So good to her them being played as midweek #1, now just can't wait to hear them played as official #1! :cheer:
March 20, 201312 yr Is there chart data missing? Jakwob & Reconnected are both top 40, despite not being there on iTunes so far. both had good EP sales, plus Reconnected have a load of versions charting (the Alex Day trick)
March 20, 201312 yr JT's sales better than I was expecting.... looks like it has a good shot of surpassing FutureSex/LoveSounds' opening sales (90k).
March 20, 201312 yr Well I never thought I'd see the day the Saturdays would get a #1! Pretty much the whole of Buzzjack is going to have one big collective orgasm on Sunday aren't they  Edited March 20, 201312 yr by mango

March 20, 201312 yr Surprised to see Alex Day charting seeing as he said it was too cheap and would be disqualified, but good none the less. Probably won't stay top 40 for Sunday though.
March 20, 201312 yr The Saturdays still on course for 100k which is great for them. Only a few thousand off their best sales week ever after 3 days of sales. Great sales for Justin's album too, should at least top 90k if not 100k. Fabulous to see 'White Noise' climbing again, looks like it will rival the longevity of 'Latch' then! Also good to see Kodaline so high (still climbing on iTunes so could stay top 15), 'Suit & Tie' re-entering the top 15, Christina Perri and Fall Out Boy climbing again, Imagine Dragons looking likely to re-peak (:o) and Jakwob, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Paramore in the top 40 :D Quite a substantial number of 'alternative' songs or at least artists in this week's top 40 - Bastille, Kodaline, The Lumineers, The 1975, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Paramore and Stereophonics! Was not expecting to see Billy Bragg in the top 10 even in the mids :o He's my mum's favourite singer (fun fact). Good positions for Daughter and Hadouken! too, hope Daughter can stay top 20. Wow at Woodkid heading for a possible top 40 album too. Oops at Alex Day's position though (and I see it is chart eligible despite what someone said on here the other day...)
March 20, 201312 yr Author That must be a new sales low for Emeli's album, if Bowie has only done 15k Hurts album down to #33 :o OUCHER
March 20, 201312 yr What About Us sold 15k yesterday then, which means The Saturdays will quite comfortably pass 100k if they keep those sort of sales up. Thankfully One Direction's boost didn't last long - One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) now back to the position they were before Comic Relief. White Noise looking to spend another week in the Top 10, seems Disclosure could have the same longevity with this record as they did with Latch! Stereophonics' re-entry with Indian Summer is very welcome by me, as is the possible re-peak for Radioactive. Nelly's new track could easily pass as a Flo Rida one - the instrumental is even similar to Whistle! :P Justin Timberlake's sales for The 20/20 Experience are less than David Bowie's The Next Day's were, although Mirrors' music video has been released today which could see a boost for the album and he may receive a better "weekend effect" since he reaches out to more people than Bowie, so still in for a chance of passing 100k. Speaking of David Bowie, sales of 15k so far this week is very good - should sell 30k-40k this week which is more than I was expecting. I was right about Bon Jovi's fall out of the Top 10, I just hope this album doesn't completely disappear after a month or so. :( Dido and Laura Mvula starting to make larger falls now, sigh. At least Stereophonics are doing well.
March 20, 201312 yr Brilliant to see The Sats at #1!! Looks like it's really gonna happen for them this time so well done them! Also pleased to see Justin Timberlake selling so well with the album!! Brilliant sales all round this week - 2 weeks running! What a shocker!
March 20, 201312 yr If 'Mirrors' sales are up 16% week-on-week, then that puts it on track for about 80k this week .... so the Saturdays will have probably cleared that by the end of tomorrow. It's 100% over, sob.
March 20, 201312 yr Bon Jovi  i just knew this would happen, but im now dreading it will fall further.
March 20, 201312 yr I imagine Justin's albums sales will hold up better during the week than David Bowies. Without a huge hit single to sustain sales, David's first day sales were people who had bought into the hype and diehard fans. Justin will attract more casual buyers during the week.
March 20, 201312 yr So they've extended their lead since the info we got yesterday? Nice. Fantastic for them.
March 20, 201312 yr Well it only took frankie and rochelle 11 years! Edited March 20, 201312 yr by Jack89
March 20, 201312 yr They can sell 9k today, 9k tomorrow, 13k on Friday because the sales go up and they have Alan Carr, finally 15k on Saturday, one of the biggest day for sale. It would get them on 111k.... I only need them to do 107-108k to be honest, so take 3k somewhere if you think I've been to generous. Why do I have a feeling you are comparing 'Wings' sales? Mind you, 'Wings' wasn't the most successful single by a girl group, 'Black Heart' was. Good to see Alex Day in the chart!
March 20, 201312 yr Well it only took frankie and rochelle 11 years! Oh yeah :o Forgetting S Club Juniors/8 never had a no.1 either
