seems to have become a campaign now with Twitter latching on to it and there is many media outlets running stories about the song being No1 in the ITunes chart. I think it might just stay there enough to win the battle

found my 'Psyche' album a week ago in among some other CDs, can't believe that's almost 19 years old :D

There's also a Facebook group which has over two thousand likes to get PJ & Duncan to get number 1, also I believe its getting a fair bit of support by radio/breakfast shows as well, if this continues, they have a very good chance of number 1! :o I actually think Pink is their biggest threat atm. Its definitely re-peaking in the top 3 either way.

I really don't want Let's Ready To Rhumble (I hate that word!) to go to #1 on Sunday. It's quite literally one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

Oh, and MIRRORS TO GO BACK TO #1.

Expect Queen Emeli to smash the charts and take over radio once again this year!! :cheer:

Soundtrack to new Danny Boyle film. :P

Just Give Me A Reason is alright, but it really does get quite tiring after a few listens.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but it's still rubbish.

Of all the 1994 tracks to suddenly do well, why this one?

It was awful back then and it hasn't aged well either.

Considering this forum would have no word said against Gangnam Style, I'm surprised there's so much hate for PJ and Duncan. To paraphrase what most posters were saying to me in October: It's just about having fun.

Good one.

(I am #teampj&duncan though).

The difference is that Gangnam Style is a decent song. Let's Get Ready To Rhumble isn't a decent song! :D

Gangnam Style was just noise. People tried to excuse by labelling it novelty but it wasn't funny in the slightest without the video. Let's Get Ready To Rhumble is funny and not pretending to be a good song so it's fun. I suppose some posters don't have the nostalgia from listening to it as a 5 year old though.

I listened to it when I was eight and I thought that it was a good song. But I suppose some posters don't have as much maturity in terms of music as posters like me do these days. :D

(not trying to be patronizing for the record, it's just that what you said sounded patronizing! :P)

Personally I don't like songs that are novelty because they are awful. Gangnam Style wasn't even a novelty song to start off with in Korea and is not too dissimilar to a typical K-Pop song.

Exactly, it's like calling I Am The Best by 2NE1, Paparazzi by Girls Generation or Hurricane Venus by BoA (looks of confusion on 99% of Buzzjack members' faces now) novelty - it might be a novelty video but it's no more a novelty song than most other chart songs.

Saying you're not trying to be patronising is actually quite patronising. It's like saying 'I'm not being rude' before insulting someone.

And for the record, I didn't say Gangnam Style was a novelty record, just that people explained it away to me as one. Quite frankly it fails as a novelty record if it is one.....
