I wouldn't necessarily say he's shaken off the "one-hit wonder" tag yet in most people's minds.... I'm pretty sure the average person thinks of Carly Rae Jepsen as a one-hit wonder, and she had a follow-up that was bigger than 'Gentleman' has been so far.

I think of Carly Rae Jepsen as a one and a half hit wonder.

I hope she changes that though, I do adore her.

Album Discussion Here

Oh yes! A new peak for I Need Your Love :w00t:
How is this a non-number 1?

Just because of the way it's dropping. Obviously it's not the best example of a "non-number one" like 'Get Up (Rattle)' or 'Turn Up the Music', but it wouldn't surprise me if it ends up in Gezza's thread at the end of the thread - which looks at surrounding positions in it's chart run and preceding and succeeding number ones, not sales.

What About Us is performing better than Wings and is on course to sell 400K and considering this is The Saturdays, it's done very well beyond our expectations. I mean, it's not another Twilight if that's where you were getting at.

It's actually not. 'Wings' chart run was 1-4-4-7-11. So it was higher after the same length of time. I agree though that WAU is not a non-number 1.

I was so annoyed when this reached #11 last week as I suspected it could have potentially been the peak, so glad it's got a decent position comfortably in the top 10 now. :D
PSY has not been accused because a member of the group of the group known as Brown Eyed Girls, is the female lead actress in the video of "Gentleman". Instead of making a brand new dance move, he wanted to show the western world an iconic dance move in Korea and expose it worldwide through his second international single, thus that's why you see the dance replica of it in Gentleman.

So I've been told. But I found it funny that the Western media were so quick to pull "the rip-off" panic cord.

BTW, "Abracadabra" is one of my fave K-Pop songs.

Hopefully will clinb next week, or at the very worst stay Top 10 as the video is now getting plays on the music channels.

Daft Punk top 5!

The Western media are quick to use the "rip-off" cue for a lot of things so this doesn't surrpise me.

Here was me thinking it'd stupidly only peak at #10, #7 is far more deserving. Remaining hopeful that it'll continue to climb (it hasn't stopped yet!) and claim Harris and Goulding another T5 hit - standout track from each artist's discography for me.

If Pink and Nelly swapped places, and you called Nelly 'dance music', it'd be a dance T5 this week (Rudimental, will.i.am, Duke Dumont, Daft Punk, Nelly). 2013 is/has been a fantastic year for dance and house music, I'm just hoping it continues to deliver.
