Only Teardrops is #9 when combined, very impressive. Should have been a Norway win though :(!

I knew it'd never get close to Euphoria's success :kink:

 02. Naughty Boy "La La La"

Didn't expect to see it so high already. Definitely putting up a better fight than Chris Malinchak did.

I'm really impressed with the way that the winner's seem to chart in the UK nearly every year now since Fairytale opened the floodgates! It would be good if Emmelie could get a UK top ten, but top 20 would be respectable too considering this country's attitude to Eurovision!
I think (and hope!) this will happen as well.

I'm not actually sure that Robin Thicke will go to #1. I think that its potential chart success is getting rather overrated on here and many people might not even know what the song's called, despite knowing what it sounds like.

It is not going to be anything other than a number 1 smash. I'm willing to be left with egg in my face, but I'm standing by that.

Was that ever in doubt? I'm sure there was nowhere near as much hype for this as Euphoria, its still doing very well nonetheless. I'd say it has a fair chance of going top 20, I'm really glad it won, definitely one of the few songs that stood out there. (and probably my joint favourite with Romania & Greece  )

I've grown to like Naughty Boy's song and the video is excellent! I do probably prefer Get Lucky, but I feel 4 weeks is just about enough before I get bored of it. I reckon it has a very good shot at number 1, I don't think the album version of Get Lucky will do quite as well as some are thinking, but it will be close.

Go Emmelie  I'd love her to finish the week top 10, but as Rich said top 20 would also be brilliant.

Except for poor Ell & Nikki (well, they got #61) - that's what they get for having such an awful song somehow win I guess.

Eurovision top 100:

17. Only Teardrops (Eurovision 2013 - Denmark) - Emmelie de Forest

22. Only Teardrops (Eurovision 2013 - Denmark) - Emmelie de Forest

39. I Feed You My Love - Margaret Berger

48. Euphoria (Single Version) - Loreen

54. Only Teardrops - Emmelie de Forest

57. Tomorrow (Eurovision 2013 - Malta) - Gianluca Bezzina

77. Tomorrow (Eurovision 2013 - Malta) - Gianluca Bezzina

82. You (Eurovision 2013 - Sweden) - Robin Stjernberg

83. Believe In Me (Eurovision Edit) - Bonnie Tyler

85. Alcohol Is Free - Koza Mostra & Agathonas Iakovidis

93. Glorious - Cascada

94. Marry Me (Eurovision 2013 - Finland) - Krista Siegfrids

Ouch at Bonnie falling already and behind 4 foreign entries (one of which has 3 versions all ahead of her) AND last year's winner! Greece looking like overtaking her too.

Emmelie looks likely to go top 10, I really hope she does. The only thing that may stop her is if having 2 versions around the top 20 stops her top version from getting a top 10 effect. Would be happy with Margaret 'doing an Ivi', with Gianluca's 2 versions top 100 we should have more than 2 foreign Eurovision top 100 hits this year as well.

Just seen on Irish iTunes the album version of 'Get Lucky' is #3 (single version at #2) :o Maybe the album release really will give them a massive boost then, was really not expecting that. Still, Naughty Boy coming for iTunes #1 within a few hours probably at the rate he's gaining.

Finally a second new release top 100:

95. The City - The 1975

I was hoping that the UK Public would have had some taste and purchase Sarah Dawn Finer's wonderful Abba cover en-masse. I hope it doesn't end up doing a Butterflies. :(
Would love to see Daft Punk having 2 versions of Get Lucky in the top 10. I like La La La but don't think it's *that* good to knock off Get Lucky. Sam Smith needs to re-release Lay Me Down, such a beautiful track.
I think that Get Lucky will have a slight increase in sales, but not enough to be particularly notable (such as 10k-20k).

I just can't wait tomorrow to laugh at both of you...last 4 weeks of DP sales should be a good enough indicator that album release will boost sales around 40-50% for Get Lucky...guys, we are talking here about the monster hit.

Laughing?! It's called a prediction, it's nothing to gain revenge out of...

What exactly indicates that? The "album effect" is overrated generally. 'Mirrors' only increased by a few thousand in the week of the album release, even Rudimental who had one of the biggest album effects in general (as shown by 'Feel the Love' re-entering the top 40) only saw 'Waiting All Night' have a very small increase.

Admittedly with 'Get Lucky' the album version is going to be a substantially different version which might mean they get a bigger "album effect" than most (I've never understood why people would think the release of a second, identical version would attract sales that the first version couldn't), but I wouldn't expect anything more than a 20K boost in sales at most.

So, so bored of Daft Punk's song already. Im disappointed as I thought I wouldnt get bored of it as quickly or as much as I have done. :( here's hoping Robin Thicke gets there next (?) Week!

Oh and the album version will have more of an effect on 'Get Lucky' than usual album tracks do I should think. It's not just a hit. It's one of those songs that comes every now and then like Gnarls Barkley, adele etc..

Naughty Boy is putting up quite a fight, it's a shame to see Demi fall so much and an even bigger shame that Carly Rae has fallen out of the top 40
Daft Punk are #2 and #3 with their single and album version of "Get Lucky" on iTunes Ireland, so I think the album version will peak high in the UK and also bag them another week at #1, as well a considerable sales increase.

Yeah, the album version is currently top 10 in Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Estonia, Turkey, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Finland, Austria. Latvia and New Zealand.

I don't think it's overrated really. I see it happen like 99% of the time. You can't see the effect very much for songs at the top of the chart because an increase of a few thousand usually won't make a song climb a place (and if the song is in free-fall, it won't be able to overcome the decrease). But with songs lower down the chart an increase of a few thousand can cause huge jumps.

Gianluca is doing very well, random question but has there ever been a chart hit from Malta? :o
