Well yeah, look at the difference between her vocals on ... Family Portrait? and the new ones. She sounded so much better on Family Portrait and that song was definitely heartfelt and meant something. For example, JGMAR is sung whilst she is married??

Adele smashed it with ballads, her at the Brits for ballads was the same impact as GaGa had for dance-electro.

The fact that P!nk who writes and works on virtually all of her material and is not some robot who gets good songs handed to her like Britney Spears shows you have no idea what you are even talking about. If you don't like her fair enoughm but please do not lump her in with that talentless thing.

Britney worked on everything with In The Zone and created the perfect pop album. I don't you can compare her work now with what she was capable of earlier in her career. She wrote Born to Make You Happy (I think???) too.

'Just Give Me a Reason' is not even really a ballad though  It's been much commented on that its tempo is virtually identical to 'We Are Young; I don't think anyone would describe that as a ballad.
So married people can't be heartfelt? Ok. And that's just forgetting the fact that Pink's marriage went through a rough patch some years ago and was probably inspiration for this track......

I suggest you go listen to Run and Beam Me Up from her new album to see that a) her vocals are far better today than they were and b) she can do heartfelt ballads far better than Adele.

Are you kidding? Adele is the QUEEN of ballads. And the second Adele is also well-known for her ballads too!

Adele is untouchable in the genre.

 9. Taylor Swift - Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran) (and #21)

Please refrain from stating your opinion as fact. There are plenty of artists who defeat Adele at ballads. You'd have to have only been paying attention to music for 5 years to think otherwise.

And Emeli Sande's droning voice qualifying as being good at ballads? I just can't.

Adele is overrated. The true queen of the ballads is Fran "The Nanny" Drescher

I predict a 5-7 peak for it.

You know the studio Adele songs? Done in 1 take.

This is exceeding all of my expectations. Having just predicted a #21/22 peak, I'd like to change it to #14/15 now. Would be a real turn for the books if it kept going and snuck in to the T10 officially. Shame Tinchy Stryder is getting near to no exposure from this single though, radio edit's get rid of him (as they did JME for "Can You Hear Me?")

Is there any sign of Mark Owen? :(

Taylor Swift could well be top 5 this week - probably behind the again-static current top 4
Just heard Taylor's BGT performance, it sounds much more like an Ed Sheeran song than a Taylor country song! Quite liked it. Taylor's second decent single then :P
Wiley - Lights On  13 / 91

Wiley  11 / 87
