I think F**kin Problem was playlisted last summer but maybe only on the INMWT list not as a main single. I thought he just released other singles in the uk.

 

Im pretty sure loads of album tracks have been playlisted which have become popular so the artist or the record company decide to release it like Explosions by Ellie Goulding!

 

Yeah, that's what I mean. Radio 1 hardly ever playlist non-singles (I think Love the Way You Lie was another one they playlisted right away). I don't think they playlist what's popular, or else there would've been different songs making the playlist in those situations I referred to, but instead they just playlisted what record labels told them was the next single (or however it works, I think usually they send radio edits, clean versions, dance remixes, etc. to all the radio stations).
