I guess it was too drastic a change from What About Us to Gentleman but I really thought Radio 1 would get behind them and at least A List them, especially of the back of a #1. Just shows how fickle radio can be and how things can go to pot so quickly... shame they won't continue the success from WAU and will go back to square one again. O_o Wait i missed where The Saturdays have been snubbed completely!? They're B-List which still means considerable exposure and you can't expect everything they touch to shoot to "at least A list" (especially when it sounds as dire as Gentleman does). Some artists can only dream of getting that high with such a shoddy release.

June 26, 201313 yr Delighted for Iggy (fingers crossed it actually picks up some sales from this!), CHVRCHES (finally going for a proper release; do they have a chance of top forty?), Selena (still a few weeks to go, should go A-List?), Foals, Justin and Lorde! Rather disappointing to see Mariah dropped, it was having the slowest rise in the charts ever but will probably suffer after this. Lots of artists release different singles in different countries, not to mention loads that do music videos for album tracks. It's likely that since Bang Bang too off in the UK they thought they may as well just go with it here. My friend at Polydor told me the single has officially been changed to Bang Bang here; I guess the Miley song will be next. Although how many singles has he had from this album already?! (Also, a quick wiki tells me Bang Bang was a bonus/deluxe track. How often are those made singles? I can only recall Super Bass.)

Ages? It was only premiered a couple of weeks ago, with the video premiering last week! They've added it with the same gap ahead of release they do with most singles. I'm sure it'll be Top 10, can't see it going near Number 1 though sadly.

'Bang Bang' is only the 4th single! (Following 'This Is Love', 'Scream & Shout' and '#thatPOWER'). Ellie's 'Lights' could arguably be one. And Pitbull's 'Get It Started'.
