Finally? How long have you been on this planet?

Dance music has had multiple golden years

1988, 1992, 1999, 2000.

1995 was a pretty good year as well.

Every year from 1987 to about 2003 was a golden year for dance :D

Agreed.

Number 10 is under 10%... I guess 200K for sure, even more... When Robin released I re member number 10 was on like 15%.
I haven't noticed that, but yeah that is a fair comparison.

YES for Breach overtaking Avril! She has released much better songs in the past, HTNGU comes across as trying too hard to be relevant for my liking - sounds a lot like WANEGBT

But a GOOD version.

 170. Waste of Time - MO

:o

Miguel - Adorn at #173, hope Radio 1 will eventually get behind this!

LOL really? This year has had some of the best numbers ones in a long time

LOL LIES!

He was right, it's been a string of awful no.1s (and music in general) this year.

I think this year has actually been one of the best years for a while.

It feels like not one particular genre, trend or style has dominated so it's been quite diverse and less stale. I've liked most of the #1s too.

2013 so far has been the best year for No1's since 1999 IMO.

How long have the popularity bars been back in iTunes? They appear to be back at the moment.

Also, on the iTunes chart if you've bought a song and select it, it plays the song in full now rather than just the 90 second preview.

I am very surprised so many people on here seem to be loving Avicii's track quite so much. For me, its possibly one of the worst songs of the year.

I wonder if Avicii could actually at least get close to the total of I Could Be The One during its stay at number 1? I don't know what the total sales for that are nor if anything massive is coming out to stop it, but I'm not expecting it to slow down at all within the next few weeks. It'll be a certain million seller anyway.

Pleasantly surprised to see Selena and Avril doing so well! :D Hopefully Breach can gain big time from the top 10 effect too! As much as I like big songs coming out of nowhere, it's nice to have an exciting release day for once!

16 - 16 - 408,300 - Avicii vs Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One - 408,300 - 23/02/13 - 1

I think 408k at #1 is possible at the rate it's selling plus the fact it's going to be #1 until Miley stops it (ironic considering her song is called We Can't Stop!)

Avril Lavigne doing much better than I expected! Was thinking it would be lucky to go Top 40 now after any hype died when it premiered ages ago. Still, I guess Nelly Furtado and Christina Aguilera did better than predicted with their latest lead singles (in terms of debut positions).

I knew they'd both get top 20 (at least), and same with this too...

I was hopeful of top 10 with the other two, although I knew it was unlikely.

210. Glee Cast - Don't Stop Believin'

Expected this to be higher after the sad passing of Cory Monteith. I've never liked Glee's music but it's always sad to hear of a death in the news. RIP :(
