Professor Green needs to go Top 40 especially when the much weaker Never Be a Right Time got there which was a post album release. I'm so confused over why Radio 1 haven't given him much support.

I still find it baffling that people even bought their music in the first place.

SFG are a terrible, terrible group, although This Ain't A Love Song is a rather great tune.

Same Love  to #235.

I know it's still early days but is anyone else worried this might flop in the UK? It was at #150 last week. :(

It was essentially a cover of The Feeling's 'Never Be Lonely'.

To be fair, NBART only went top 40 in the end because of a price reduction! I'm a tad surprised at the lack of support for this single too, but I think basically everyone views it as a "buzz" single before the inevitable sale-grabbing follow up.

I'm guessing it got so high because of the media surrounding the same-sex marriage bill last week. The fact it's been a staple top 300 album track for a while now suggests that it most likely won't fail if it gets a decent enough push. A Radio 1 playlist addition should be enough to see it shoot straight back up I would have thought as it has all the makings to be a very big hit.

Just noticed Scouting For Girls new song is from a Greatest Hits album! :o

Cheeky gets. They've had, what, four hits? And the last one was 2010.

Leona Lewis - Run #109.

4 weeks 59p :cheer: I think that's the longest it's ever gotten. Surprised it's still so high up with all the Now! enteries. Taking out duplicates, it's around #94. Maybe it can sneak back into the the top 100 come Sunday! :D

Diana Vickers - Cinderella #73. It's actually around #60 when dups are taken out :D It looks like top 100 for sure, but I hope it scrapes into the top 75!

I really hate the release of the Now! albums. It makes everything much more messy.

I'd be more concerned if it *didn't* flop...

They've waited a very long time to start pushing Same Love, it was ages ago that Can't Hold Us peaked.

They had to discount it to get it top 40, but I'm glad it got there. I think it's a nice song, you can hear Mike Skinner's influence in it.

I've never understood their appeal, especially when they first broke through but I always had a feeling they would be a phase

They came out at the right time but I think it's time they go back to 2007 where they belong!!

Maybe they are just waiting until later in the year when they plan to promote it!?

Macklemore on X-Factor with 'Same Love' would be life. Imagine how big the song would be!

It would be amazing, but I can't see it happening. The show has been on for like 8 years or something now, and the only rappers I can remember performing on there are Professor Green (and that was probably more down to Emeli) and the Black Eyed Peas. I think the performers will be adult contemporary ones as usual.

I don't think the song really needs live performances anyway, there's million-sellers which never got performed on TV.

 193. Summertime Sadness (Radio Edit) - Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais

^ this *was* up for pre-order (I think), but I guess they decided not to bother now lol

I hope 'C O O L' at least does enough to make the top 100 this week because if 'Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe' is anything to go on, it's going to die and never recover at the end of the week when it stops getting the daily boost from being Nick Grimshaw's Record of the Week. It could become a proper hit if it gets the support but I don't think that will happen somehow.

It was! What a mess of a release, the remix was available for a while back in December I think but then was taken down and put back up in March. Then it was taken down again last week but it's available now for some reason.
