But to use Ellie's name, vocals, logo and image, surely they would have to have permission and would face legal implications if they didn't?

As long as Ellie does not beat Pixie's record. Pixie went 73-01 with 'Boys and Girls' as it was released on a Saturday!

I thought that Florence already beat that record when she went from outside the top 100 to number one the week the remix was released?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I was referring to Spectrum

He/she/they/it probably will face legal implications I'd imagine. It definitely looks like a very illegal release :P

Pixie's is the record climb from within the top 75. The record from the top 100 is Labrinth's 'Beneath Your Beautiful' (85-1) and Westlife's 'Mandy' has an unbeatable climb from the top 200 of 200-1.

Alienator going top 10  I wonder if the label know about this.

This looks really strange...the only concern I have is it having an impact on the radio edit for Burn but then I'm pretty sure remixes have been available to buy before the official release but I can't think who or what it was!

Sugababes - About You Now

Resulted in a big climb to number 1

I remember a fake version of We R Who We R charting - it was the actual song but illegally ~ I think it charted at #90 or something. Label need to notice A.S.A.P

In no sense whatsoever was 'Judas' worse than 'Born This Way'. The lyrics were actually imaginative and were built around a vaguely original concept rather than the cliched, cringeworthy BTW. I know the chorus of 'Judas' is the weakest part of the song but the chorus in 'Born This Way' isn't that much better.

"The Edge Of Glory" should've been the front single, insteadof being marred by early release and a disappointing video.

Good memory :P That did get to #95. On the other hand though an illegal release of Travie McCoy's 'Billionaire' that got to #11 on iTunes didn't chart officially so it could go either way.

Yes!! I knew it had happened at some point and more than I can think of!!

The kid who uploaded it to iTunes probably can't believe it's still up  .

Oh dear at the illegal Ellie release. They had to play it on the Big Top 40 as well.

That is really funny.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Ellie Goulding herself has tweeted saying this is an illegal version of the song and is going to be taken down.

It'll probably harm the overall sales now though..

Guess someone from the record label finally checked itunes or had the radio on Capital

I think the remix going top 10 bodes well for the actual release next week. I do hope Ellie can be a #1 contender next week, really like 'Burn'.
Miguel "Adorn" #128, #411 & #507. Hopefully once the weekend effect is over it'll climb some more. The Jessie Ware version needs to be put up on itunes soon, as it is the version that BBC Radio 1 is playing and would really help it out I think. Really hope it can make the top 40.
Hopefully the remix has done well enough for it to chart officially at #74 or #75 next week. I want it to beat Pixie's top 75 record :kink:
