I really don't know how the video for Lady Gaga is going to improve her position, once the track itself is in the public eye, I would have thought people have downloaded the song more than anything.

Someone (was it Eric?) made a great post last week showing how the video releases positively affected all the Born This Way singles. You should have read it.

Despaired at a lack of Wretch 32 in the T100 earlier, just found out it's not out for a week!

"Right Here" reduced to 59p on the standard edition of 'Home'. Silly people paying 40p more (the version at #28).

But we know from how the Applause has performed (sold less in 5 days than BTW did in 1 day) that the hype and interest in her and her music has diminished hugely. There for it is to be expected that the video will have less impact to.

Oh, Naughty Boy top 10. Should be pretty much a lock for 5 new entries top 10 this week then if they're all there on iTunes already!

Looks like Florida Georgia Line have stalled for now but still a lingering bad feeling it'll blow up into a proper hit. Tich should hopefully have already peaked.

Less impact =/= no impact.

Thanks for the tip off :D

Just one place above the 'New Music Masters' cover of I Love It. *sigh*

Ouch! I hope she's got a killer of a second single lined up before the album release!

Metal close to leaving the top 10 then. Oh well it's been doing brilliantly.

At least if they do, they'll hopefully leave AFTER Gaga. :kink:

As long as Matt and Mel don't drop too much the top 10 looks set as it is. Matt and Mel have This Morning performance on Wednesday as well as a Google hangout. Gaga has her video release.

Loving You is #6 on Amazon and the highest of the new entries.

Still buzzing that Mel C is in the iTunes Top 10 - Never ever thought that would happen again especially after the chart performance of her last few singles..... #94, #95, #159 & #153!

I don't think anyone's suggesting the video will have NO impact though. I think people are contesting the claim that the video is going to cause the song to fly up the charts and become a massive #1, when in reality videos hardly ever have that effect anymore.

I'm fairly confident that now the other new releases are done overtaking it, Matella will hold onto the top 10 for the rest of the week. Although they are decreasing on Kworb at this moment, but I think they'll increase again tomorrow.

Klangkarussell look like they've stalled at #3, shame they're not gonna get #1 (well they still COULD but looking very unlikely now) but #3 is still great. As long as Ellie holds on I'll be happy, another multi-week #1 is always good. But I don't want Avicii back at #1, tiring of 'Wake Me Up' very quickly now :(

DJ Fresh top 5 :cheer:

Well that's obviously not at all possible, but people were responding to the "the video will boost it" claims in general (or at least M!key, who I initially responded to, was). The video won't make the song 'Bad Romance' 2.0, but I wasn't defending that view. All I'm saying is that the video should benefit the song to a reasonable degree, as videos (especially Gaga videos) usually do.

:ne: 336. Demi Lovato - Heart by Heart

This was only released as part of a soundtrack album at midnight tonight I think, fantastic start! :o And from the same soundtrack:
