Mate, it's probably the other way round :L

Yeah, like I've said before... I think it's The Saturdays that need to thank Sean Paul for bagging them their first ever #1!

In 2003 I hoped he would be gone within a year, he made that year hell musically.

I still don't get how both he and Nelly have been given second chances of all people... I hope he would have stayed irrelevant!

I love Sean Paul, but I don't think he has the power to get The Saturdays to #1. Obviously he would've helped a little bit though.

Not really. Just a year (2 years?) ago he went top 2 with a single which also received little to no airplay at time of charting, didn't he? 'She Doesn't Mind' was a massive hit (his last single, too wasn't it? - ignoring the re-release of G2LY).

He released 'Hold On' as a third single from 'Tomahawk Technique' and it only got to #86. 'She Doesn't Mind' was his first big hit for ages after years of underperforming (no other top 10s since 'We Be Burnin'' in 2005) and he went straight back to flopping afterwards so it looked like it might have been a one off return to major success for him but 'Other Side Of Love' has proven that wrong obviously :P

Ariana Grande coming for another #41 hit with 'Almost Is Never Enough'? She's the new Angel but without a big hit if so  I could see it still taking off and becoming big though especially if Heart start playing it a lot (they have playlisted it at least). 'Right There' is down to #79, probably not going to make the top 75 then but could still be top 100.

I think Heart are playing Ariana Grande's song since a guy from The Wanted features on it? I do think Ariana's other songs would be appropriate for Heart though, hopefully they play some of her future singles (even without the Global connection ).
Yes, but Like Glue >>> Get Busy >>>>>>>

That's the worst of the worst. :puke:

That and 'I'm Still In Love With You' stand out as being particularly hideous.

Where is the new Dizze getting airplay from - the video? Needs radio plays soon its not on radio 1 daytime yet!!

Thing with Sean Paul is that radio airplay plummeted around 2006 and now all o a sudden radio 1 love him again!!

On the subject of Sean Paul. Rihanna really missed a trick by not officially releasing 'Break It Off' from her 'A Girl Like Me' era, didn't she? Instead she gave us the weak and limp, 'We Ride'. Didn't BIO go top 10 in the US though? So maybe her label thought there was no point?

Oh and I still believe Ariana Grande could be huge if she was given a proper UK push.

Yeah, Break It Off was the 85th biggest song of 2007 in the US (with no music video too). Could've done well in the UK.

See Lawson have gone top 100 on pre orders...not expecting this to do much when its released but will probably be a low top 10

I'm annoyed with Bastille. Everytine TWLITF gets close to the itunes top 40 (highest ive seen is number 42 this week and last week) it falls again! I think its going to do what Laura Palmer did and stall outside the top 40 again but I hope V Festival may help get it some well needed sales its such a great song!

Oh and   for Lana back in the top 5, I can't believe how well this is holding up I just wonder had they held the release back to August given the demand for the track, could it have been a number one but we'll never know now!!

I liked Like Glue :( I'm Still In Love With You was a bit shit though

I'm still annoyed that Laura Palmer didn't go Top 40 so I'll be even more annoyed if TWLITF manages it, since LP > TWLITF

Mainly because radio 1 are its main supporters so it doesnt quite get enough exposure to rise into the top 40!!

Maybe so but it wouldnt have hanged around for as long and sold less in the long run!

Matt and Mel not long for the top 20 :(
Last word on Sean Paul - a much fresher single is on the 1Xtra playlist with Damian Marley - Riot!!

I think if ever Rihanna missed a trick during her A Girl Like Me era, it was not releasing the Rock-Reggae 'Kisses Don't Lie'. :( But then again, it is traditional of Rihanna to leave a standout track unreleased ('Breakin' Dishes', 'Photographs', 'Man Down', 'Cockiness'). :drama:
