August 25, 201313 yr 1999 was such a class year in comparison to 2013. And I spent most of that year preferring 1998. EXACTLY, MY LADY GaGa RIVAL!! Hope Miley Cyrus is #2!!
August 25, 201313 yr The stars of 1999 are mounting a comeback, Texas have had a relatively successful era whilst Stereophonics and Travis are top five. Bizarre! I'd have expected all three of these acts to be scoring nothing but top 30/40 albums so far into their career and with such previously diminishing returns! Sadly album sales are horrific. Still good to see Stereophonics get a second run in the Top 5 album and for Travis to get there after their last album only scraped Top 20. Maybe if Texas held their album back this far, they'd be Top 5 too. I do like Klangkarussel. It's a pretty good tune!
August 25, 201313 yr Love Sonnentanz. Its still so much better as just an instrumental, but the vocals do add to the chilled out, summery feel of the track.
August 25, 201313 yr She was number 6. Oh. Well, if no.6 was good enough for the best Spice Girl, it's good enough for Miley!
August 25, 201313 yr Usher's 'Climax' was produced by Diplo, wasn't it? Oh yes :kink: I made a post about this just the other day, short term memory isn't great clearly. 3 of his 4 top 10 hits have peaked at #4 then, if only Tinie was 1 place lower!

August 25, 201313 yr I'm a long time phonics fan, but only this year have I gotten REALLY into Texas and Travis having purchased The Man Who and White On Blonde earlier this year and loved them. I don't suppose anyone can recommend any of their other albums?

'Burn' doesn't really feel as big as its chart success so far indicates but hopefully it should be a long term strong seller.
August 25, 201313 yr Getting pretty tired of Wake Me Up now. Fantastic chart run though so far! Edited August 25, 201313 yr by Jade
August 25, 201313 yr I'm a long time phonics fan, but only this year have I gotten REALLY into Texas and Travis having purchased The Man Who and White On Blonde earlier this year and loved them. I don't suppose anyone can recommend any of their other albums? Ode To J Smith is a pretty good album from Travis, it's a bit dark & different for them. That's probably why I like it.
August 25, 201313 yr Surprised with how well Burn has done, still - not complaining. Great number 1.
August 25, 201313 yr 6 weeks top two for Avicii! :o That's 1 more than "Get Lucky" and just two less than "Blurred Lines" and I imagine it'll get another next week to be just one behind that! Amazing longevity thus far, I wonder what position it will be at when it inevitably passes the 1 million barrier.
